thanks for your hard work, have a feedback for SOL 2.2 & VR again, game crash and whole system restart with some bios msg related to memory, that happen when i use patch 0.1.75, on previous version 2.1.3 only VR apps crash like SteamVR & Vitual Desktop, once i back to 0.1.60 and remove SOL game plays fine on VR and Monitor

Maybe its more related to CSP than Sol. So have you also tried CSP 1.75 and using the default weather script?

using oculus quest 2 with Virtual Desktop, GPU AMD 570
game works fine with openVR, but after patching it with 2.1.3 it start cashing during loading, get msgs from all components, AC CM a msg about shader patch 0.1.75, AMD radeon software also display a msg, and finally SteamVR block Virtual Desktop, i did a rollback to configuration on AC CM and unblocked Virtual Desktop in SteamVR, the game start playing again

Impecable as always. Just a problem running the cmd, even running in admin it doesn't work properly, have to open it on a cmd with admin and run it like that.

I really wished I could figure why rain locks my frames to 59.990. On most other settings I get around 110-120 fps but with rain it gets locked to 60 and GPU util is around 50%.

Also if I look back my fps jumps back up to normal, its like the windshield with the raindrops causes it to lock my fps. Super weird issue that no one seems to have.

Rain is made by RainFX, which is a CSP modul. Sol is a weatherFX script, which just controls rain. Sol has no influence, how well rain runs on your system...

Works great but for VR needed to roll back to 2.0.2. Having issues with Oculus VR mirroring having black screens when running sol 2.1.x weather script. Default scripts didn't cause any issue, only the new sol 2.1.x ones. Tried everything from GPU driver rollback and different Oculus firmware versions. Only thing that solved the issue was the version rollback. Hoping could be fixed or looked into.

Hello, Sol has no influence on that. I can't do special coding for VR, so Sol just accesses the the weatherFX modul of CSP. Maybe there is some interaction with GPU memory, because Sol uses much more VRAM with 2d clouds. You tried to switch between the different cloud render methods in Sol config, page 7?

Hi, I followed your guide. It's pretty easy I think. I ran csp 1.69 to 1.75 with Sol2.1.3, but still cannot get the rain to work. I do see the apps and controlls. The clouds and haze effects are all there. But just no rain. What am I doing wrong.

RainFX is a part of CSP and is actually in development. You can support Ilja Jusupov, the creator of CM and CSP on its patreon account: https://www.patreon.com/x4fab/posts
There you get the CSP with development version of rainFX...

sol looks briliant , its easy to download to content manager nut after that and even after reading install i still could not get it to work ,i gave up after 4 hours of trying to copy and move files and in doing that i accidently removed files or move files and then content manager would not let me drive anything , even verify ac steam files, in the end i deleted everything and reinstall assetto corsa on steam and content manager, i still think its brilliant and i have no problem paying for mods but there should be an easier way to install sol ,its simple to install tracks and cars lol

Please read the install guide! There are some issues with CM, so you cannot drag'n'drop it directly to CM. Just copy the 4 folders from the archive "apps", "content", "extension" and "system" in your AC root folder (the folder where AC is installed). Thats it! Its a thing of a minute...

SOL is amazing and one of the main reasons why I still race in AC. The graphics are great without affecting the framerate too much/at all. Many thanks for creating this excellent weather mod and pp filter. Much appreciated!
