Hello AMS racers,

I am pleased to present this extensive track rebuild.

Snetterton Circuit V2

Special note : Make sure to remove any previous versions of "Snetterton_BTCC11" from your locations folder before installing this version.

Whats New...

* Extensive track refurbishment, practically every detail new or improved.
* Rebuild the track and curb geometry from scratch.
* Tweak track shape to improve some wavering sections.
* New semi accurate pit lane geometry with improved pit exit.
* Add missing runoffs based on current satellite image.
* New road noise.
* Remap track and curbs with updated Reiza textures and shaders.
* New groove, skid, marbles mapping.
* New Reiza standard road and pit line markings.
* New scratch built 3d armco and tire barriers in semi accurate
configuration.
* New semi accurate 3d perimeter fencing.
* Rebuild the pit wall, add scratch made 3d hand rail.
* Rebuild all the major track side buildings to remove z-fighting issues, improve window transparency, and rebuild the AO effects.
* New scratch made brake markers and corner markers with accurate positions.
* New 40 car garage. (The garage is not true to life but I wanted to expand the old tracks car limit and this new garage is a nice way to do that)
* Add Reiza pit box details.
* New and improved AI with the latest AMS v1.5+ AI parameters.
* Updated lighting colors and sky blending angles.
* Package cleanup of unused objects and textures.
* New loading screens and mini maps.
* Grass, grass blades, trees, and crowd adjusted after modifying the track geometry.
* Many tweaks and improvements that didn't make the change log.

A note on the starting grid...
I made the grid lines as they are in the real track, I believe it is the BTCC style grid with offset parallel rows of cars. Unfortunately, I discovered later that the AI did not work very well with this arrangement and they were crashing into each other in the brake zone at the T2 hairpin. My solution was to line up a single car in each row, keeping the original grid markings. This gives lots of space during the starts for humans and the AI.

Special thanks and credits to Reiza for their graphics technology, garage objects, and base textures modified for use in this track.

Credits to Patrick Giranthon for converting the original Snetterton circuit by Lasercutter to AMS standards.

Please use the support forum for any issues, and be sure to leave a rating / review when you can.

Enjoy,

Gringo
