  2. * Banner distinguishes the background colors of wrc1 and other group

Updated:
  • EAWRC-TV-Overlay-Banner-2024.simhubdash
* note: Since EA WRC 24 changed the telemetry data for all vehicle car ids, this version of the fix is specifically for RBR.

Now, all dash overlays won't disappear immediately. Instead, they'll hang around for a little while and then vanish as the scene exits.

In the previous version, due to a lot of script animations and layers, there would sometimes be lag, and it even slowed down the game in some cases.
To fix this issue, I created three simplified versions. I removed all the intro animations (they'll show up right when the match starts), combined some layers, and significantly trimmed down the scripts:
  • EA-WRC-TV-Overlay-Dash-2024-LowCost.simhubdash
  • EA-WRC-TV-Overlay-Dash-2024-Gear-LowCost.simhubdash
  • EA-WRC-TV-Overlay-Banner-2024-LowCost.simhubdash

If you've been experiencing any lag with the previous version, you could give this version a shot.

Only updated file: EAWRC-TV-Overlay-Banner-2024.simhubdash

You will have to update your game to the latest (1.6) to use this version.

Changes in this version:
  1. New car id to filtering Hybrid cars, which is more accurate
  2. Re-matching with new carModel names, to make sure the manufacturer's logo displays correctly. In the 1.6 update, EA changed some of the car names, like capitalization, and fixed some typos.
  3. Add the missing Mitsubishi logo.

Quick fix:
- I noticed that the split time from the previous version wasn't always updating on time (it would show as 0). This was because I had set the minimum update interval to a relatively large value (200ms), which sometimes prevented the delta time from updating. I've now changed this interval to a smaller value (10ms), so the split delta time should be able to update promptly.
Updated 2 files:
1. EA-WRC-TV-Overlay-Dash-V2 2024-Gears
2. EAWRC-TV-Overlay-Banner-2024

Changes:
1. Added a new banner color (blue) for the WRC2 category and below.

2. The Dash V2 Gear version has added a blink to the digits.
3. Fixed a lagging issue with the countdown animation that was caused by changes made in the previous version.
1. To tackle the lagging issues that some users might experience, I've added a "Min. update interval (ms)" to each element. This allows the system to limit the minimum refresh rate of each element, which could potentially reduce system usage.

2. I've increased the size of the Gear numbers and added a blinking effect when max rpm. (Since I use the Gear overlay daily, I wanted to see the gear shifts more clearly.)

note:
Since I'm not experiencing any lag issues on my computer, if you're still having this problem with the current version, please reach out to me.

I've realized that the RPM blink rate of the compact version is too slow. So, I've increased the RPM blink rate from 250ms to 50ms.

This is the last major update for this Rally.TV style overlay.

The main thing I've added in this update is a compact Dash that integrates all information into one circular dash.

This compact dash comes in two versions - one with the speed in the center, and another one with the gear display in the center.

You can choose the Dash setup that fits your needs and add them to your Overlay Layout. Hope you guys like it!

This is all the dashboards after you import them into Simhub.

- Now, the countdown timer will only show up when Delta time exists.
- Added The flag of Wales to the image library.
I fixed a bug where a missing Java function was causing the stage name and background position to be offset, and also made it so the delta time on the right side is always visible.

added a feature to display the name of the co-driver when the match starts.

I've also put together a tutorial that shows how to display an overlay in replay.

I've added a new feature followed with the original Rally.tv design. When you're near the end, a countdown panel will pop up, showing the Delta Time.
Also, there's a progress bar at the back which shows how close you are to the finish line. If the progress bar is turning green and moving right, you're going faster than your best time. But if it's red and moving left, you're falling behind.
Added image of the English and Scottish flags to the library, as requested.

Got a request, some folks would prefer to have the gear indicator in the center of the dashboard, instead of speed digits. Even though this wasn't the original design, but in this way, it's easier to monitor the gear changing during gameplay.

I've added a file ending in "-Gears.simhubdash". If you want the gear display in the center, just import this file.
