Hi everyone,
Here we have 3 samples of different feeling tactile RPM sensations to use with Simhub Shakeit.
Simhub
Simhub Shakeit Info
In this offering, I share some of my own learning/experience to bring better feelings and more immersive RPM effects. The engine seems a more complex effect to get right and this is just a sampler for people to try. I like to experiment in bringing different RPM sensations to various cars. These examples contain elements for idle, low torque, deceleration, as well as peak and max rpm scenarios.
This is intended for Assetto Corsa Competizione but may work okay with a similar car in Assetto Corsa. Do keep in mind however that certain effect layers are mapped to produce tactile sensations to the gearchange RPM of this car, so may not sync with other cars.
*Different transducers will produce different felt sensations to others based on their own performances and output characteristics.
The frequencies used are in most instances harmonically mapped. I have tried to apply a range of frequencies that will work quite well on most units. It is not recommended to alter the Hz as a change on one layer can have a knocking or weird sensation with others.
All you should have to do, is adjust one effects layer at a time to find the volume you like for each. The combination of these determines the overall felt output.
Getting Started
How to apply this:
The uploaded ".txt" file just needs to be converted from a .txt file format to a Simhub .siprofile.
To configure the effects within Simhub
Map the *AMRPM effect to the soundcard outputs you want the effect to operate on.
Activate only one of the 3 engine options (V1 / V2 / V3) at a time.
Expand to open up individual effect layers and adjust their volumes to suit your preference.
You can also Copy/Paste to the clipboard if you want to place these effects into one of your own profiles.
Simply copy the effects group folder, then load your own profile, and from the top right select paste. Then just re-save/export and that's it.
