I would like to share a HUB that I have created to know the fuel we need to finish the race.
The hub is made for rFactor 2, I don't know if it works in other games.
- It works both if the race is laps, on time, or both (if the race is configured on time and laps, it ends when one of the two is met).
- If the race is laps, it has been configured to calculate half a lap more than necessary for safety, and if it is on time, calculate 1.5 more laps, in case the calculations give X exact laps but on the last lap we press and manage to pass goal to a tenth, which would make us take another turn.
- The calculations are dynamic, they depend on the average consumption that we are doing and the times that we are doing, so the values may vary a little at first.
- The data begins to be stable, approximately, from the 4th or 5th lap, when we are already doing more or less stable time and consumption, from now on it is balanced.
- Text colors:
--- GREEN color: that value is the liters that will be left over (then it is usually something more, such as half a turn). It indicates that we can finish the race without having to refuel.
--- ORANGE color: The value it gives us is the liters we need to be able to finish, and the ORANGE color indicates that we have the tank capacity to refuel all the liters (liters we need < (total tank capacity - fuel that we have)).
--- RED color and positive value: The value it gives us is the liters we need to be able to finish, and the RED color indicates that we DO NOT have the capacity to fill all the liters (liters we need > (total tank capacity - fuel that we have )), if we stop like this, we could not refuel all the necessary liters and we would have to refuel.
Of course, you are free to modify or adapt it to your liking, or use the formulas.
UPDATE V3: Download here
- Fixed a bug in the formula for lap races.
- Added parameter that indicates how many laps I have to go to get fuel in orange (fuel in orange means that I can refuel that amount of fuel in a single stop, useful for endurancers)
- Recomended las versión of SIMHUB anda Gary Swallow plugin.
