Not just a skin but a small modification too so it probably belongs in this section I’m guessing, maybe?. Anyway, I finally got round to trying out the TC Classics recently and I really enjoyed the FuscaHC cars (after I tweaked them) but thought they looked a little new... fortunately I can fix that.
So what do you need to backup first.
This will overwrite a file in the Series folder – This just adds a “Nation” section to the series file used by TCClassic. I don’t know if it actually needs it but I also don’t think it does any harm if you just overwrite and left my changes in place anyway.
This will also overwrite the “upgrades” file in the “FuscaHC” folder. – This adds a Torque Stab modification to the cars changing how the AI drive them. If you don’t like it you can either edit the numbers (higher number = more stable) or totally delete downwards from the line “UpgradeType="AITorqueStab" but leave the very last “}” bracket
Other than that, it's a normal download, unzip and copy to wherever Automobilista is on your computer.
If you use my upgrade overwrite and skins what you get from the download is a 30 car field of nations (one make series) with talent files for drivers providing a spread of good and bad. The cars should appear in a Nations filter for you when you want to find them and they have seen better days. Even the good ones are not in great condition and some have been repaired or had replacement parts fitted. Each of them has country specific logos and sponsors with some of those being quite old and dated, although there is some artistic license involved in the way they all look.
As for how they drive, I set aggression to high and with the upgrades modification in place there will be wrecks. The good guys will be able to give you a decent race but you will find some opponents not quite being able to catch a fishtailing car and I rather like that because you can sometimes have two or three seconds to admire the accident that’s going to happen before it does. I’ve tweaked the Torque Stab upgrade with much trial and error to where I don't think it's an excessive amount of chaos although some tracks behave better or worse than others.
Teams included -
Australia (had to be sponsored by Supercheap for this skin) Belgium, Brazil, Canada (my favourite door advert) China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Judea (if you don’t know Monty Python this one will be very confusing for you) Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Soviet Union, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UK, USA, Yugoslavia (it probably still existed when they built this car)
If you live in another country that I haven’t included and really wanted it, I’m not promising anything but if you asked I might be able to make you one.
Hope you like it.
