Rumbula Airstrip + Drift Port 1.5

Rumbula (ICAO: EVRC) is an air base located 11 kilometres (7 mi) southeast of Riga city centre in Latvia. The airfield was used for military purposes in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1960s it was used as temporary passenger airport for bigger planes until the new Riga International Airport was opened in 1973. The quality of the road in this area is really poor.

At least since 2001 there has been no military or commercial aviation based in Rumbula.
Since the late 90s / early 2000s, the strip at night is known for illegal drag races and quite a few fatal crashes.

During early 2020s a makeshift drift track named "Drift Port" appeared at the end of the strip, the makeshift drift course is kept up by the locals that go practice drifting in this location.

Made as a side project to my main map "Mežciems" just to learn how to texture and some other things Polished up a bit and created a model of the hall next to the strip and decided to post it here.
