The F2 18 inch rims are silver in real life. Actually, they are a gorgeous satin chrome that OZ is so good at making. On the Formula RSS 2 V6 2020, I've created a new wheel material and added the OZ Racing logos to the outside of the rims.
Instructions:
Changing the wheel material to OZ Racing satin chrome:
- Copy the "Documents" folder to your documents folder. In Windows 10, this is located here: C:\Users\<user name>\
- Go into Content Manager
- From the Content Tab, open the RSS F2 car into any CM showroom
- Click on any of the rims until they are highlighted (the wheel, not the tire)
- On the right, click on the three dots next to Material
- Click on Change Values
- From the dropdown menu, select the name of the material you want to use for the wheel
- Select "RSS_Rims_18_SILVER"
- If you ever want to go back to the original gray texture, select "RSS_Rims_18_ORIGINAL"
- Click Save
- Repeat this process for all LODs on the car. To change LODs, click on the Car Icon on the top right and look for the LOD slider:
- NOTE: You don't need to do this for all of the rims, just one of them.
- NOTE: This changes the rim material for the car and will show up in all skins.
There are two rim texture styles to choose from. The outer edge style that was first revealed on the all carbon FIA launch vehicle, and the inner edge logos that most teams seem to be running. Choose the one you like from the RIM LOGOS folder.
- Copy the file named "Rims_18.dds" and paste it into all of the skin folders where you want the texture to appear
- To remove, simply delete this file
- There is no number 3
- The only "bug" is that the textures for the right side of the car are reversed because RSS mapped the wheels that way. Hopefully they will fix that in an upcoming patch.
