One thing I really dislike on the DX11 version of rFactor 2 visually is the strong turquoise tint the devs decided to give this version of the game for some reason. I've seen some previous attempts at removing it through ReShade or similar apps, but never liked the result, so, just like with Raceroom, I finally decided to make my own ReShade preset to make the colors in the game more natural (or at least what I consider more natural).
Here's some comparison images:
And two full screen shots:
You can find more comparison screenshots (full screen ones, not striped like these above) in my gallery.
Installation is simple - you just install ReShade to the rF2 executable folder (Bin32 or Bin64 depending on your setup) using the DirectX 10+ option with the appropriate shaders (by default, I'm using Tonemap, ColorMatrix, LiftGammaGain and Vibrance) and then open the .ini you've extracted from the file attached here.
Note that the preset is a compromise - the colors are not exactly as I would like them to be. There can be a bit of a purple tint at times (not always, though), which is also accentuated if you see it side by side with the turquoise original (so don't judge it by the screenshots above alone), and reds do get a bit darker and/or yellowish. But this is the best I could come up with after several hours of tweaking and I certainly think it's still much better than the original colors. I can remove the slight purple tint, but then the turquoise starts creeping back in, so...
Also note that the preset does have some impact on performance, as pretty much any ReShade preset does. On my GTX 970, it is about 10 percent. So if you're struggling for fps, it's probably not a good idea to use this.
