I've been waiting a LONG time for this! I'm glad you took the time to do this.
I will say, one big thing I've noticed is the how much the front ride height changes with these tires. The default front ride height with the original tires is 27mm, and with the mod, it drops to 5mm. Is this because the Pirelli's have a smaller radius compared to the original Michelin's? It affects the aero and weight balance pretty dramatically, making the car very pointy and unstable, especially in high speed corners. The car also bottoms out very quickly, even on very short straights. I have tried to counteract this with setup changes, but the highest I can get the front is 10mm with the sliders maxed out. I also tried adjusting the bumpstops, but you can only set them to a minimum of 15mm for the 3rd spring. I think I can change the setup files so that I can raise the car higher, but I'm not sure if it's that simple...
It seems like you're still working on tire physics, as evidenced by the difference in ideal pressures for the mediums compared to the softs and hards, and the very high ideal temperature range for the mediums, but I think this is a great start, and I'm loving it. I've even applied the mod to VRC's other mid-2000's F1 cars, although I noticed doing that replaces the tires along with the wheels lol. It's still a lot of fun trying Pirelli's on these older cars. Anyway, I appreciate the work you're putting into this, and I'll follow along with any progress you make. Thank you!
and hope this won't be the only car from the 2000s with new tires maybe something from the 90s or a current f1 might come with something special...
