I thought the idea of more realistic damage was required. it does not change parts or pieces that break off the cars. it just makes the current damage areas more sensitive. after FP1 to FP3 & qualification I thought it was okay to leave "realistic on". however caused nothing but chaos at the green light of the race. nearly the entire grid was DNF after turn 1. after a few restarts and testing on another track. reverted back to vanilla.
