Finally I can stop tweaking my old G25! Thank you for your time and contribution. Fantastic!
I would not have had a clue where to start when setting up my G27 so thanks for all the hard work and comprehensive instructions that come with this mod. This has made a huge difference to the game, I wish I had spotted it sooner.

Thanks for the kind words! Always makes my day, when someone gets a better experience due to my work and takes the time to write something :)
Why have I not found this sooner?! Truly one of the best LUTs for G29! It's good for gravel rallying too!

Thanks for the nice review! :) no idea, why it has a -1 rating. About gravel rallying: My LUTs basically just replace the minimum force slider, so you're enjoying the default ffb of AC, but without the dead center. And the default ffb is very good!
10/5 stars, cars actually feel soooo much better, turned my G29 into something amazing. Thank you so much!

I have something weird going on though, if the wheel is dead in the middle, it shakes/vibrates a lot. I'm using the recommended LUT file in there and triple checked I followed the settings correctly.

I tried lowering the first value in the LUT to 0.000|0.050 and even to 0.000|0.020 but no luck, doesn't seem to change much. Any ideas what's going on?

I uploaded a lil video on Youtube to show what's going on here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6p0TiADTFiI

Hi, thanks for the review :) your video is not the vibrating from the first line. That would really be just vibrations, not an "edge" while turning across the center.
You have too much ffb in the middle. Please post your settings in the thread for this "resource", where you can post screenshots.
Either the LUT is too strong, the gain is too high or something else. There are a lot of settings...
Just done it to my "new" 25$ DFP :D
Feels amazing compared to stock! Can't wait to drive GIULIA around ring lol

Nice! My buddy with the dfgt doesn't drive anymore, but reading this makes it worth it to have the dfgt lut created :)
These settings worked miracles on my G923. I was ready to bin AC forever because I could barely get any car around 2 consecutive corners. Now the game feels like it replicates reality...and it's fun again too!

Thanks for the nice feedback! I was at the same point before creating this.. Enjoy racing :)
i was about to return my wheel... this saved it all

Awesome to hear, thanks for leaving these words!
This is amazing! My Logitech G920 is a wonderful budget wheel, but it has a hard time snapping back on drifts. I tried to install another LUT generator that was more customizable than this one (but I had NO knowledge on how to customize it) but it didn't work! Everyone else seemed to get it working, and I was so annoyed with it. Out of frustration, I just clicked on another LUT file, this one, and I was not disappointed. It made driving so much nicer on the wheel, and drifting (although it didn't snap back too quickly) felt much better and fluid. I couldn't do the pro Direct Drive wheel stuff, like let go of the wheel and use acceleration to control the drift, but it was lightyears ahead of my previous experience with little to no meaningful FFB. Thank you for making this!

P.S.
I have one question: would it be possible to configure the wheel in such a way that it had more snap-back and realistic driving feel? It's already awesome, but it would improve the experience so much more if I could do a proper drift with my hands at 9:00 and 3:00. Or is that just a limitation of my 2.2 NM gear-driven G920? Thanks again!
Im using the superstronglut because i do have a 35 cm steering wheel. And I cant tell you how much of a good difference it made, the car actually felt nice to drive! Although one problem that i have is that when im driving straight the steering wheel turns left and right really fast. Other than that its pretty good!
Overall good update but I'm facing a small issue with superstrong 100LUT in a straight line wheel is losing force feedback I mean it feels numb for a few sec then ffb restores.
i couldn't steer for crap, the cars where way too responsive mking any speed over 35 a challenge, and this fixed that, however now the ffb shakes 24/7 and it tries to tear my hand off
This made my aging Logitech GT so much better. I can now handle corners with ease, contrary to the stock setting (that was way too heavy). The Lut you created works perfectly. Really glad you went through the trouble of adding files for the very old but common DFGT, which precedes the G25 series. The DFGT works great in Automobilista2 even with the included settings but AC includes no such defaults. Way to extend a great game's life as well as those aging wheels.
PS: In the event you plan to create the same improvements for ACC and AMS2, I'm all ears. Cheers

Thanks for the nice review! :) I made the DFGT because a real life friend bought one and ofc. I couldn't let him drive without my "anti-deadzone"-LUT. So I was able to test it myself, until I was happy and then upload it. AMS 2 has a nice "low force boost", which works a lot better as the simple minimum force setting of AC and ACC. I totally agree with that. Sadly AMS 2 doesn't has the possibility to use a LUT. But ACC does! You can simply throw the two files from my download folder into this folder: \\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config
You won't see if it's "on", but you will feel it. There's also a Steam Guide, just google for ACC LUT Steam and you should find it :)
My recommendations: Gain = 100% ; Min Force = 0% ; Damper = 0% ; Dynamic Damping = 0% ; Road Effects = 0-20% ; Frequency = default.
Steer Lock = 900° ; Linearity = 1.00 ; Brake Gamma to your liking ; Gearshift Debouncing = 50 ms (default).
A must have if you have a G29, have been using it for years!

Thanks for the kind review! :)
its really good i recommend it, but this may be a dumb question, can i use this to beamng too?
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the kind words. From my short research, you can! I would test with the "normal center" first, since it's for 100% Gain and I don't know the ffb settings of BeamNG.
I've found this as a guide:
"Here's your 'Quick Start' Guide:
Copy the lut file to this location: C:\Users\'username'\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\'gameversion'\settings\inputmaps (Note you MUST change 'username' to your Windows name and 'gameversion' to the current game version!)
Open the game, and go to Options -> Controls -> Force Feedback, scroll down and click the checkbox for 'Use Response Correction Curve'
Once you've done that, press Ctrl + L, then press apply. Re-open the settings and go back to the Correction Curve, it should now show you the LUT you've put in the folder."
It really helped me ! ( I have a g29 )

Thanks for posting, happy to help! :)
I am DFGT user, the wheel is almost as old as me so I didnt expect the best results from it from the start, the changes this has made to it was like night and day. Originally I had guess with my counter steering as it felt way too light and unresponsive, now I don't have to worry about the wheels performance only my own :)

Thanks for the review! Really appreciate it :) Glad it improved your experience!
very good

Rasmus Thank You for putting in the time and effort to make these LUT's they transform the G29 completely!

The recommended LUT really improved the deadzone and general feel of the wheel, especially when driving classic historic cars! I do have one question though and this may be down to user error.... I seemed to lose some details when the car slides or lost grip. It was quite light feeling although I was still able to save the car mostly. Is there anything I can do in the settings to enhance that feeling of losing grip just a little bit?

Also, I am using Content Manager to make tweaks and I notice some of the settings differ to the ones in the standard AC settings. Should I use CM to make tweaks or are the game AC settings best?

Thanks again for the amazing work!

Hi, thanks for the review :) I tagged you in the thread to this download so you can provide screenshots etc. Losing details and a light feeling are technically the opposite since you only lose details when clipping and the details getting cut off. But maybe the other sliders are too much or you have a setting a bit wrong here or there.
AC vs CM should normally be identical. CM just reads out the config files, same as the default launcher and writes into them. But we'll see in your screenshots then!
Nice great job, i have 1 questions on point 6 logitech profilers, i dont understand, the option "overall, spring and damper" do i have to change this options on LG Hub?
RasmusP
RasmusP
Hi, thanks for the stars :)
With G Hub, you don't have these settings and don't need to change them either. It's for the older wheels that used the "profiler" instead of G Hub. Afaik, they are always at 100%, so just like I'd recommend them :)
I want to thank you as well, for this stunning piece of work you delivered to me/ us. 5 star worthy in my book (as in a lot of other people's eyes as well). It has made my Logitech G29 exponentially better in Assetto Corsa.

I have one question regarding the FFBClip app though:
I've seen some people in the(se) reviews talking about using that next to the recommended LUT (the one where gain should be set to 50 percent in Content Manager). Well, I have used the recommended LUT with and without FFBClip. I have even used that app before I used your LUT and I was happy with FFBclip running next to my own generated LUT for the most part (in most cars). But how would one go about setting FFBclip correctly in conjunction with Rasmusp's/ your recommended LUT? Because when I run it now, the Gain (T.S.A.) in that app almost immediately goes above 100%.
Furthermore, would one even suggest to run that app next to 'the' recommended LUT? A step by step would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for the nice review :) a
About ffbclip: I'll tag you in the thread (Discussion) part of this download tomorrow and post an explanation. To also post something short in here:
The main issue is that the LUT sits after the clipping meter and boosts the ffb back up. So ffbclip doesn't know about that boost from the LUT and therefore raises the gain.
I tried to transfer my LUT to work with 100% gain so ffbclip could do it's job correctly but it always felt worse.
In the discussion thread I'll also explain why you don't need ffbclip at all anyway though :)
