Thank you for spending your time with all of us idiots. I haven't tried it yet but I have a problem, you said not to let the gamma be anything other than "VALUE= 1" otherwise it wouldnt work properly right? But I have a big problem, as soon as I start the game it resets back to 0.5 no matter what I do. Also had the same problem with damper gain in assettocfg.ini or whatever it was called. Made it 0 but it kept resetting to 1 when I entered the game, I had a fix tho, since I wouldn't be changing any of those settings anymore I changed it to read only in properties so the game wouldn't change it again, but that was with the assettocfg.ini. I change my lut settings abit so if I make it read only it won't let me change the luts, any fixes to stop it defaulting to value=0.5?

Thanks for the 5 stars in advance! Don't worry about the gamma value! It's inactive when using a LUT (TYPE=LUT). The important thing is: ENABLED=1 otherwise neither lut nor gamma will be active! The auto-reset of the files is weird though.. Are you using content manager? Then please post some screenshots in the "Discussion" part of the download :)
I think for when I used my g27 it was a game changer, the dull feeling when the wheel was centered whilst driving was gone.

I might be overexaggerating but it made the g27 feel more like a T150/T300 in terms of accuracy. Just obviously the g27 has a little less peak Nm to provide.

Thanks for this!

Thanks for the review! I totally get what you mean and I don't think you're overexaggerating. The default G27 feels quite awful in comparison, which hurts accuracy at turn in. It's quite weak though, definitely!
Wow - a game changer in ACC. Thanks!

RasmusP
Thanks man! Really appreciate these nice words!
dude.

this makes such an incredible difference, i was just :O at my lap times after using this guide and setting the wheel up. Wheel feels so nice and no more rattling and clipping (G27) and overall a much more satisfying experience on the track.

Finally, I'm at one with my car.

Wow, thanks for your review! Made me smile :) enjoy the new experience!
Wow, man, this is crazy.
It's like I went from the G27 to another high-end steering wheel.
Now I can see what went wrong with the car settings in ACC.
I'm 0.7 faster on average.
It deserves more than five stars.

Thanks for the nice review! Made my day :) Very happy to read this! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the support thread of the download!
After so many hours trying to use my G923 on Asseto Crosa, I have almost uninstalled AC..... until I found this thread... Thank you again and again and again... some werid vibration noise on his center, but not bad, i can finally have FFB on AC with my g923...
RasmusP
RasmusP
Awesome to hear! Thanks for the kind review! :)
To lower the vibrations in the center: Open the .lut you use right now and lower the right side value in the first line. It's "ffb random noise" to make the absolute center less empty. When not driving, it causes vibrations.
Makes a world of difference, went from a g25 to g29. As soon as it came to drifting the g29 felt completely off, barely made any attempt to counter steer and I was trying to steer though the drift myself. I thought it was just me, but after trying the g25 again the g29 was being lazy. Searched around played with settings for an hour then: found this. Installed this. Fixed this.

Crazy how different the wheel feels, SOOO MUCH BETTER. Only problem is now it counter steers a bit too much and it's difficult getting the car straight again. Nevertheless MUCH better.

Thanks for review! It seems like some settings were wrong before. My LUTs only get rid of the dead center, they don't make the wheel counter steer much quicker. But glad that it's working better now anyway! :)
Stopping a drift needs some manual correction and "strength", since you need to force the front wheels to counter the swing of the rear wheels. So that sounds normal to me
Used the 'Recommended' LUT with my G29 and it felt much better than what I was currently using!!! This LUT and configuration coupled with FFBClip App in AC was AMAZING!!!

RasmusP
Thanks for the nice words! Hope you still enjoy driving :)
Very very good way of getting a real strong ffb without buying a new wheel !

Thanks for your work because I’m sure it took you so much time to get there :)

I’m using it on ACC because it feels right in every car, in AC there is so many mods that it’s difficult to get it right everytime…

One question though : is it possible to have the same wheel angle on screen ? Because I can see that the wheel is not turning the same way my G29 turns, don’t know if it’s normal…

Thanks anyway !
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the review! Yeah it took some time hehe, but it was so worth it! Great that you enjoy it too!
The angle should match, normally.. Do you have 900° both in the logitech software and in ACC? Then it should match... Depending on your seating position and the cockpit settings, you might need to set ACC to 870° or so to make it feel perfectly natural. If you need further help, post your settings (with Screenshots if possible) in the "discussion" of this download.
I have a G29. I tried the simulations of AC, ACC, Rfactor2, RaceRoom, F1 with this steering wheel. In general, I was getting a flat feeling in all of them. Assetto Corsa's feedbacks are good. I was using the Lut I created with the Wheelchecker application before. It was good. But we are always looking for a slightly better driving experience. I applied the Lut settings you suggested (50% gain) and my experience was a separate pleasure. At the moment, there is a feeling closer to real car driving and the weight of the steering wheel is in consistency. The bends and curbs are more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us race lovers.

Thanks for the review! Always very happy to read something like it! Like you say, I tried to get the wheel to feel as similar as possible to my road car and after achieving the best I could, I shared it with the community :)
The lut king! Very helpful and answers you quick. He just made 3 luts for me to test without any hesitation, i belive But rly, i truly appreciate it and I think others will to.

Thanks mate for this lovely review :)
Game changer with the G29-- high recommend the suggested LUT (the one used with 50% gain). 5 stars for the dev too, he is still super active in the discussion board helping others troubleshoot

big Help in Assetto Corsa Competizione

im using an Old DFGT and those tables are really changing the flavour on how the Wheel Behaves and feels on ACC.. thank you!
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the review! Awesome to hear that the dfgt worlds well with it in ACC! You're the first giving feedback for the dfgt in acc so very good to know! Enjoy the driving :)

I have a G27 and have never liked the handling of the cars i ACC. Dead on center but twitchy off center. With this I can feel the car properly now and my lap times are starting to show it. Thanks for effort. It transformed the game for me.

Awesome! Thanks for the review, always makes me happy to hear that it brings joy to someone!
Made my customized LUT from lutgenerator and tried dozens of permutations and combinations but the feedback was just never right. Got this one, used the recommended on and bang on - works so precise. Thank you.
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you're enjoying it! I took the same path as you and then decided to get the knowledge and create something on my own. Great to hear that it's still useful to others!
Many thanks for improving my G29.
Interesting to setting up to ACC.....
is there any step by step or clue to inserting file .json to ACC from this setting?

thanks in advance

RasmusP
Thanks for stars! Here's a guide for acc from another helpful guy. Maybe that helps?

There are so many different interpretations and opinions on how to handle the G27 FFB...! I admit that this one is maybe the best one I found so far...
to be adjusted with the different cars, because they don't all react the same
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for your review! Hope you still enjoy it! You're right about the different cars. I couldn't test them all so it's more like a good baseline. Mostly adjusting the per-car-gain is enough to get a decent result from my experience.
Great LUT :) Changed my G27 feeling alot, Under the updates tab on this page i see you added this in september 2017 after this post was made

''To feel what the G27 is capable off: activate the centering spring to 150%. AC doesn't reach this level of force in my opinion! So I knew there was some headroom left for perfection! ''

My question ^ do we do this or just leave it, and what LUT is this for
RasmusP
RasmusP
Thanks for the stars! :)
The quote was to see what would be the maximum force the wheel can output. And I felt the clipping meter of AC cuts off a bit lower. So boosting the FFB level a bit higher after the clipping meter via the "recommended" LUT gives a stronger ffb into your hands.

But please disable the centering spring after testing this!! It's only for non-ffb games. Or to check the max force without running a game!
