“I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.” - Winston Churchill. Well, that's not what we expect in Rallycross (blood - definitely not! sweat - maybe; but even toil in RX should be felt as fun). I make sure to give my vote to Jomoog, who offers us "Stones, gravel, concrete and tarmac". I think Basalt-Ring is a great option for those who are hesitant to use Rallycross mod in rFactor. Most of turns is perfect for a slight drift - they are long and quite smooth, without sharp 90 degree (even the most 90-degree similar right turn before the chicane doesn't feel like a sharp one). Slight-slalom fast chicane also don't bring you "toil, tears and sweat" (especially if you learned your lesson on Catsellbow). Basalt-Ring is the track you want to go back to, even just for practice. Fun for race and fun just to get some drive there. Long live Jomoog - the "Churchill" of Rallycross!
Yes, the course seems to be easy. But you have to choose a fast-lane that matches to your setup and driven wheels (front, rear or all).
Ok, that counts for every track but here in a special manner, I think. Due to the long smooth curves you will possibly* get dramatic over- or understear. It's up to you to utilise it.
* if you drive less sophisticated than Aram ;)
