Race Satsuma Mod v2.3

the mod menu keybind is "U"
the 2-step keybind is "Y"

  • Version v2.3
    • Fixed issue with wheels not being able to be installed if they fall off
    • Added soft Limiter adjustments (the 'SoftLmtrZone' changes the rpm below the limit in which timing is retarded to the 'LimiterRetard' value), note: if 'SoftLmtrZone' is 0, the soft limiter gets disabled
    • changed the GUI theme a bit
note:
this mod is incompatible currently with these mods:
GrabAnything by haverdaden
EngineInfo by Lexman6
AND also, the soft limiter code is hard coded in right now, so you wont be able to change the ignition timing with this mod, this will change in the next version tho!

Reactions: Juhisz
fixed bug with some settings freezing in 1 setting
menu keybind is "U"
2-step keybind is "Y"

please read the README file included

  • Version v2.2
    • Added Suspension Menu
    • Improved Stats Menu
    • Added ability to change the suspension values of the rally suspension from the suspension menu
    • Added front toe adjustment
    • Removed ability to turn the rev limiter off
    • Added ability to turn clutch modifier on or off
    • Changed mod file name to 'RaceSatsumaMod' (read the README included)
    • Improved the backfire code
    • And tons of other smaller tweaks and optimization changes
Mod Menu keybind is "U"
2-step keybind is "Y"

  • Added backfires (backfires don't work at all if the engine is below 65°C, or if you have no headers) (have only tested backfires on Race Carbs with race exhaust, so I can't guarantee it working great with other combos, that's why it's a 'beta' version :D)
  • Engine rev-limit-limit increased to 20k
  • Improved rev-limiter
  • Added Save files in the Options menu, (S button for saving, L button for loading. when the mod is loaded it automatically loads the 1st save, you need to also save in-game for the presets to be saved) (the saves are stored in 'Mods => Config => Mod Settings => Race Sasuma Mod'
  • added RPM and throttle stats in the stats menu, (I'm gonna improve the stats menu, don't worry :D)
  • increased the speedo limit so it doesn't top out anymore
note: the mod is also on nexus mods
I have some demos and images, and much more info on there!
V2.0:
  • Fixed the issue with the car being really sluggish
  • Two-Step time and Limiter time now work (before they did nothing)
  • Raciness adjustment has been removed (it does the same as the Inertia adjustments)
  • Satsuma inertia values can be put back to stock by turning 'Enable Inertia' off (it's off by default)
  • Improved the rev-limiter behavior

Mod menu keybind it "U", 2-step keybind is "Y"

hope you like it!
if you have any problems, you can contact me on my discord server by clicking 'More Information' or scrolling down in the 'Overview' tab
I accidently posted an older verison of the mod, sorry
but now it's the right one
menu keybind is "U", 2-step keybind is "Y"
how to install:
extract the mod file (.dll) from the .zip archive
delete the old version of the mod if installed from the mod folder
put the new version of the mod inside the mod folder
added power multiplier in the Engine Menu
added 6 speed gearbox with 2 choises for gear ratios (short/quick ratios, long ratios, as well as the stock 4 speed ratios)
added ABS and ESP in the drivetrain menu
added engine fixer in the stats menu

as always: Mod menu keybind it "U", 2-step keybind is "Y"

planned stuff:
engine stats
anti-roll bars
backfires
making the tachometer read above 9k rpm
customizable final drive gear ratios on the fly
better GUI

hope you like it!
the engine now can't overheat.
ofc the ModMenu keybind is "U"
2-Step keybind is "Y"
I've added a GUI, it ain't pretty but it's something :D

Menu keybind is "U"
2-step keybind is "Y" (2-step will be active while you hold the key)

I've added many features like:
Ability to turn the rev limiter on and off,
Ability to turn 2-step on and off,
Ability to fix the "overshoot" the stock limiter has,
Adjustable rev limiter,
Adjustable 2-step,
Adjustable rev limiter latency (how fast it's limiting)
Adjustable 2-step latency
Adjustable Inertia
Adjustable On-Limiter Inertia
Adjustable raciness (works basically like changing the inertia)
and ofc the GUI.

I still there are many features I intend to implement like:
Power multiplication adjustment
ability to change the Keybinds,
Drivetrain modification,
Stats menu,
Options (presets and keybind for those presets)
and possibly a better GUI.
and make the engine shoot flames when the rev limiter is triggering.

I hope you like it!
now you can drive a weedwhacker engine swaped satsuma :D

what does the mod do?:
Removes the rev limiter
Increases the max clutch multiplier by A LOT
tricks the engine into not-exploding

have fun!
I forgot I had that log file directory set as my own.. so I fixed that
but I changed the name of the mod to something decent-ish
removed the "illusion" of higher rpm
and increased the limit to 11k, but it rarely ever rev's to 11k because of valve float.

have fun!
Sorry for the lack of updates. I just had one of the busiest weeks ever.

anyway.
The engine now seems to be completely invincible to over-revving.
I was messing around with some other stuff in my code and then realized that somehow I made it invincible.
scared that I would ruin it, I just polished the mess and built it. that's why it's a "Beta" update :D

I still wouldn't recommend flooring it while starting, since I have had tachometer needles disappear by doing that :D.
but even downshifting doesn't seem to break the engine.
there is one downside tho, the engine now is more "sluggish", doesn't rev up as fast. I'll do some testing to see if this is actually needed, but it seemed like it. anyway, I hope you enjoy the update.

I intend to post another "release" update really soon.

I have also included the code from my "Invincible" clutch mod. so the clutch is also "Invincible" with this mod (wont slip)
I also have done 1 really simple tweak to slightly increase the pitch of the engine. it is changed by about ~10%, to give the illusion of slightly higher RPM, this was for my own entertainment and will most likely not be in the realease version of the mod.

oh, forgot to mention... make sure you delete the old version of the mod, it was called "MasterMasterMod" because the new version is called "MyMod3". I will name it something decent when I figure out a good name for it :D
fixed it, should work now
