- - - - PHOTOREALISTIC FILTER V7 IS OUT! - - - -
SOL 2.2 RECOMMENDED, IT MAY NOT WORK WITH OLDER VERSIONS
Photorealistic_PHOTO
Photorealistic
- - CHANGELOG - -
* PPFilter
- "Photorealistic" has been reworked, now it's a bit less saturated and it has better visibility at night
- Lowered gamma
- New color balance, should be nicer
- As "Photorealistic" is more balanced, "PHOTO" is now made just for photoshooting, I recommend to play with the Filmic Contrast slider, it can really change look
* LUA
- Fixing some issues with various dynamic values
- Better transition between day and night
- New AE code, it's not too good in "PHOTO" filter, so I'd leave static exposure there
Any feedback is very much appreciated

SOL 2.1 ALPHA 4 OR HIGHER NEEDED OR IT WON'T WORK!!!
- - CHANGELOG - -
* New AE method
- After some try and error and some experimentation with the AE method Peter made for Sol_Extra I achieved this look which from my testing looks fine
* New separated filter (Photorealistic_PHOTO), thanks hamzah for helping me with it
- Main differences: Less gamma, more contrast and more saturation.
- It's still under development so it may not be fine tuned yet
- It won't work well for any picture, it takes some time to understand its behaviour
* PPFilter
- Increased gamma to 1.5 for a better driving experience
- New glare
- Reduced saturation to 94% for less intrusive brake lights
- Removed vignette completely
* LUA
- Many things changed, can't remember all of them
- Adapted to new config manager
- A bit more organisation inside the lua and on the debug
Any feedback is very much appreciated
- - PHOTOREALISTIC FILTER V3 - -
SOL 2 BETA 8 OR HIGHER NEEDED OR IT WON'T WORK!!! It may not work on lastest betas
- - CHANGELOG - -
* Misc
- Drag and drop install with CM compatibility added
* New sky!
- Increasing sky blue strenght on Sol Config page 7 makes sky darker or lighter
- The whole sky preset is new and it's working pretty well both on daytime and sunsets
* New clouds! ty peter c:
- Adapted the filter for the old 2D clouds for more contrast and smoother sunsets
- To do: have a look at base weather clouds and keep digging in 3D clouds
* PPFilter
- Increased gamma to 1.2 as shadows were too dark and for more visibility at night
- New glare
- Increased saturation to 96% to get stronger brakelights that work pretty well with the new glare at night
- Reduced exposure so brighter tracks aren't nuclear anymore
- Went back to "neutral" color temperature
- Added a bit of sepia on Overcast weather
- Added a 25% of vignette
* LUA
- Increased sky smog a bit on sunsets
- Increased fog distance for a nice blue sky (it's the key of that look)
- Reduced car reflections brightness and saturation
- Sun brightness is higher on late sunset for a colorful ambient
- Reduced a bit the sky density for a natural look in order to fit with the rest of the ambient
- Increased adaptive brightness so it's a bit brighter on lower sun angles and overcasty weathers
*NEW UPDATE*
Sol 2 beta 3 needed
Now it's adapted to Sol 2 and its new functions, there's a lot to do left. But this is pretty solid for now.
Thanks to @Marocco2 for allowing me to use his glare, it's amazing! You should go and check out his filter.

**NEW UPDATE!** Photorealistic filter v1 (I'm back giving names to the updates to help with organization. File names won't change between updated to avoid file accumulation)
**READ THIS**
On this update I've tried to remove the overcontrasty and oversaturated look this was getting in order to get a smoother sensation so, it's more pleasant to use. I've tweaked some things so now by modifying sol config you'll be tweaking my filter without having to go into the .lua (only on some values for now). Filter will keep working on Sol 1.5 system. But you **NEED SOL 1.7 ALPHA 2** to make the filter work properly. I've also made new settings presets, one for performance and another one with high graphics.

SOL 1.5 ADAPTED
NEW GLARE
Sorry everyone, I forgot to add the colorgrading. Now it's in, not on the Photorealistic_Race, now the normal filter should look how it was intended to. Exuse me, s*** happends!
The "Smooth" filter has been updated and renamed to Photorealistic_Race. It has lower contrast, smoother DOF, no ColorGrading and a bit more exposure, also with a less strong glare to be more confortable for racing.
On this update I've made a new sky based on Sol's preset "dark blue". It's really hard to make the sky I look for, but I feel ok with this one. So I think I won't modify it until there's a change on Sol related to how sky works.
It's necesary to use Sol 1.7 alpha 2 or higher with this update as I've implemented new variables wich won't work on older versions. And now, if you like to use Sol 1.5 weather, you can as it has been tweaked for a similar look to as how it'd look on Sol 1.7 weather. And the CM settings preset have also been updated. I'm not sure if they'll work with CSP 0.1.62 as I used 0.1.63.
As always, I hope you like this udpate
See you soon!
SCREENSHOTS
Hello again! New update!!
I've added color grading which allows me to control colors separatedly. I've also added another "version" of the filter without the color grading, brighter, with less contrast and with a smoother DOF, so it's smoother. I've removed the vignette effect too.
Enjoy it!

On this update I lowered a tiny bit the exposure, played with contrast to fix clipping darks, played with few values both of ambient and sun level. I also changed the sky, so I used Atrip's sky settings with few adjustments. On the upcoming update of Sol (1.6.1) a new sky preset will be implemented, I'm looking forward for it, so you may see it on my filter soon. Enjoy
