PARAMOUNT RACETRACK for GTR2

PARAMOUNT RACETRACK for GTR2 beta (not to be confused with maeckie's track)

Several of my scratch-built tracks reside (in various stages of completion) on one of my computers and PARAMOUNT RACETRACK is the most finished; I like it as-is and I wish to share it with the SIM community. This is my attempt at the restoration of a historic racetrack (and the setting of many movies and television shows) that has been lost to the ravages of time and natural disasters.

Very god, very creative, a lot of passion and effort went into this, I can tell. Narrow, fast roads, probably best for older/smaller cars. I can picture vintage F1 here easily. Graphics and textures have that old school DX7/8 vibe but the ambience and immersion makes it a nice drive.

Thank you Shovas. Although graphics are not my forte (please feel free to improve them) I can assure you that the geography of this section of Paramount Ranch is nearly spot on. The original narrow, bumpy roads are barely visible but they (and their elevations) are still traceable via Google Earth.

Here are links to the only known footage of Paramount Racetrack in it's prime:

Cornel Wilde took a bit of "artistic license" for his movie with the inclusion of pylons and banners but the racing footage is somewhat realistic. It is a shame that this tidbit of America's awakening to Road Racing has not been restored...
