I didn't think I would release an update until christmas. But I realised there were somethings that needed adjustments quickly, that got ignored or got under the radar while making the last version. Some stuff like garages were a bit unpolished, so I made some polishing work this time.

Here is the new stuff with the version 3.1:

-Reworked the garages to make them look better
-Various improvements to Milan, Detroid, Yokohama, San Francisco and Okutama
-Restored some bloom effects that were removed by accident
-Flashback effect is now black and white, for a more dramatic flashback effect
-Added new Bonus content: Detroid Silent Hill Edition

The highlight of this update is definitely the improved garages. I removed the frontend filter at the last version, but apparently it broke all of the garages lighting. So I reworked the garages to work nice with this mod. Especially the 3rd garage looks awesome.

I also Adjusted various things and tracks in this update. Especially the Milan, Yokohama and Detroid tracks are improved. Milan and Detroid were especially suffered from bad luminance adaptation implementation. It was making these tracks look like a flashbang for no reason. So I reduced the maximum level of brightness for these tracks.

I also added a fun bonus content as Detroid Silent Hill Edition. I played Silent Hill 1 for the first time this October, I realised I can add Silent Hill style Detroid as a bonus content in this mod. I think it's a nice change from all of this sunset or sunny tracks. Also it fit to the Detroid perfectly in my opinion.

This was the update, have a nice day, farewell.

It's the 16th of October, that means it's time for a 2nd anniversary update!

We got some exciting changes this time. We got a total rework of all of the tracks, continuing the work from the version 2. Now all of the tracks look pretty great! Even one of my friends thought it was GRID 2! Also I managed to get rid of the frontend filter without breaking anything. It's far more painful to do than the with the Colin McRae Dirt (2007).

Here is the new stuff with the version 3:

-Reworked the remaining 10 circuits: San Fransisco, Washington, Milan, Jarama, Spa, Istanbul Park, Haruna, Yokohama, Bathurst, Shibuya

-Removed the frontend filter to match frontend with this mod

-Added additional bonus content:
-Daytime versions of Haruna and Yokohama
-NFS Carbon filter for Shibuya
-Synthwave San Fransisco

-Reworked bonus content: Grid Autosport style Okutama
These were the new changes. Now it's time for some behind the scenes stuff, because it's an anniversary update!

While reworking the tracks, I have been a bit more thoughtful with the process compared to the 1st version. The goal was to provide an authentic look of the tracks without the yellow filter. To sum it up, it was like "How does this track look without the yellow filter?". Of course I took some creative liberties here and there, and more on some tracks than the others.

Some tracks were really hard to guess what it was supposed to be, like Jarama, Spa and Bathurst. It's not a stretch to call that, most of the tracks looks nearly the same with the yellow filter. So because of that, one of the goal of this mod is to provide more distinct look between each track. I think I managed to made it work pretty well.

So, this was the Noob's GRID Graphics Mod 2nd anniversary update, aka 3.0 version. I hope you all enjoy this mod, as much as I enjoy GRID, have a good day!

What's new with the version 2?

-Reworked 5 weakest looking circuits: Okutama, Detroid, Long Beach, Nürburgring, Donington

-Reduced the blue tint of 4 circuits: San Fransisco, Milan, Shibuya, Bathurst

-Added little bit of red to the Washington, because it's sunset

-Added the original game files for easy uninstall (or install)

These are the new stuff came with the new version. I had to edit the lighting files for the reworked circuits better visuals. In case of the Okutama, i had to create one manually, because half of the track's lighting files are not editable in normal means.

So i had to get some shadow angles and stuff from all of the gibberish and add that to the another track's file. Then i adjusted everything manually. It took me a bit to get new Okutama right, but it's worth it.

But sadly, i can't really do anything about the front end and the Le Mans for the time being. But the future of this mod looks bright, I'm planning to rework even more tracks in the future.
