it took me a lot time to make it work properly but my man thank you so much for this mod.

Loving the Mod so far! Having one small problem. When pulling up to traffic the odd time a car will dissapear but the shadow of the car is still their and as soon as I pass the shadow the car returns. Not sure if it could be a small setting somewhere. I get 80fps avg. Everything else is working flawlessly so not sure if its just a bug or. Thanks for all the hard work either way!

Thanks for the grade! As for the phantom car I would check if CSP has some such in the bug list or if it happens only with some mod car. I am not familiar with that bug.
It is aight idk why but the ai just bunches up together in one lane going super slow when there are 2 lanes, if anyone can help please do
Such a great mod thank you sir. I see a lot of people having trouble with installation and I understand it can be very confusing and frustrating when it doesn't work on the first go. However after days of searching I was able to setup everything correctly by following the pinned comment of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watchv=tLBRoKk7bsc&ab_channel=VRSimRacer) from a person that I found in the comments on this mod

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to check the video from the link but it's 404 now. I propose to all who has trouble with the install to read the support messages down from https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/new-traffic-for-shutoko-revival-project.207442/post-3430575 and to ask their own questions. I will help each and everyone who asks.
Spent probably an hour trying to install this and no luck. Please just make a youtube tutorial on how to install this. I've been trying for days to get Ai traffic like SRP in singleplayer and nothing has helped.
No doubt this would be a good mod if the instructions on how to get it to work were written in a half legible manner. Please just give instructions on how to install.

Seems you can't be bothered to read the whole 200 words of the overview. So read the part "To install the AI line in any of the SRP layouts..." and that will be the sufficient minimum. I don't posses the skill to make it simpler.

The AI behavior is good enough. Although the instruction is not human friendly.

Just paste every track layout folder (except oi_pa) and ui folder into SRP's track folder. And extract less restricted fast lane option into the ai folders of each track.

For slow traffic like ai, replace ai hints with restricted ai hints in data folders of each track.

Follow the instruction to edit the new_behaviour.ini. And make sure to disable damage and tire wear to minimize AI stopping.
Would be worth installing if the installation instructions weren't so cryptic.
Overall really great mod! super awesome to race against AI on SRP.

I am still having trouble with AI crashing a lot and blocking the road. I used the code for the AI behaviour but when I added it to the cfg file existing already, the name of the parameters were different. For example in your code it says "AI_FLOOD_PUSH_SPEED=180" but in the code that was already there it said "PUSH_SPEED=180", could this be causing my issue?

I am running CSP version 1.76 (Patreon version)

Glad to hear it works.
The paragraph to add with code "[TRACK_shuto_revival_project_beta]" and all other rows is designed to override the defaults and affect only SRP. If AI is colliding and stopping you need the "RESTRICTED_ai" line. In that case to avoid road-trains of cars add AI with relatively similar performance.
After playing with the AI for a while, I find myself wanting more.

The AI works great on every part of the map but seriously struggles on the C1 loop. The issue seems to stem from the fact that there are some corners where there isn't enough room for the AI to overtake and it'll try to do so anyway, an example of this would be in the areas with a pillar separating the road into 2, sometimes the AI literally drives through the middle, straight into the pillar. This leads to the AI crashing and blocking the road at least 50% of the time and it's kind of unplayable. It's pretty much a gamble on whether the AI will work in your favor or not.

Otherwise, the mod is still great and I would still recommend people try it out. I understand that the AI for Assetto isn't meant for this but I thought I'd at least share my concerns.

I did include the "restricted" variant of the line for the purpose of eliminating any chance of collision. Use that and there will be no jams on C1. But thanks for the feedback. Cheers!

Hey mate thought I'd give an update on my experience so far on this particular mod. Just wanted to say how awesome the improved traffic AI is, I've also posted a short preview for the folks on Reddit over at r/assettocorsa here : https://www.reddit.com/r/assettocorsa/comments/pi0xsl/improved_traffic_ai_single_player_mode/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share



I've tried multiple combinations of the settings you've provided to get the traffic tailored to my liking and so far it's preforming great. The number of AI vehicles glitching out and crashing into eachother has been greatly reduced whilst also providing a much more realistic flow of traffic when trying to simulate racing against AI on the SRP expressway.



What's working great for me so far is:

- using non-collision AI models for the AI traffic alongside collision models(supercars and police cars for example) that I'm racing against.

- significantly increased the overall base speed for all "normal" traffic AI vehicles using Car Tuner 1.52 and doing an engine swap and also made them all have equal value in speed.

- Using the 'restricted' hints setting in combination with 'less_restricted' lane setting although I'm experimenting with these options for different circuits of SRP.



Overall It's been awesome so far so thanks again as always. P.S do you have a PayPal or patreon? Should totally set one up haha

Looks like having fun!
I would like to see some of the "ai_hints.ini" code posted in the "Ask a question" tab in order to improve the experience for myself and anybody else who drives in SRP. I'm long way away from Tokyo and need help with establishing what the traffic flow is really like on those routes. In return I can help with the general use of the hints for managing the flow.
