Such a shame that the best looking filter also gives the most fps. Makes the decision so hard...

But honestly, this comes as close to real life as possible with pp filters. It also helps against the shimmering shadows in VR. It doesnt solve it, but compared to the hefty contrast pp filters, it minimizes the disturbance. Would maybe love a tad more reflection of wet road, but I'm still testing it out. Could also be due to the new weather controller. Using pure 154, 4090 and a Varjo Aero. This filter sucks me into the (game)experience like nothing else. Thank you Chris.

great to hear it works nicely on the aero. reflections could be the controller, theres a new difficulty slider i think which might affect it, i haven't tried as my gpu can't keep up with rain. you could try adjust the reflections.level slider in pure config app
Now with new Pure 0.154 it is way better and the filter really shine! It is bright, no noticeable fluctuations except when clouds hide the sun, which is normal, but even then it is bright as it need to be, contrast are better than before and colors are very nice! I found it exceptionally good without automatic exposure on, that in 1 it gets insane bright. Excellent work!

cheers for the feedback!
Looks amazing, and most importantly, gave me an FPS boost of 60! I cranked up the graphics a bit once I had this bad boy enabled, and what a difference it is. MUST HAVE imo

Excellent mate!
I run AC Vanilla.. Works beautifully!
As for the FPS gain: 20FPS for me!
Thanks

awesome!
I rarely leave reviews but this mod deserves all the praise. In VR it's actually too good. I love it so much lol well done to you!

Cheers, pleased to hear!
I've tried a lot of post-precessing filters this year. But the only one that works well so far with my little MSI GTX 1060 3GB Gaming X is Natural Mod Filter 14, the only one that I will keep this winter after reinstalling my simrig.
The only PP-Filter to use in my case is Natural_Mod_Base. Color, light, contrast, saturation, brightness, everything is good in this filter!
First, congratulations, I couldn't find a filter in which the car is part of the environment, with fair brightness and subtle and pleasant sparkles, the phote pp filter is incredible, I even use it for running. My congratulations and thanks for your time. Just a query, in Pure config, I don't see the filter script, is that ok or did I miss something?

thanks for the feedback! you should see "script loaded: natural_mod.lua or photomode in the PP tab of pure config. if not then this suggests the install has not worked. it would be good to discuss further in PM if so
The filter i allways come back to.
Best filter of all.
My new Favorite! Looks like the real thing. Thanks
Like others here, spent some time evaluating different pp filters for VR + Pure, to use over the default pure pp filter. Most are just too bright for me, others too gamey and synthetic. The Photomode seems to strike a great balance between contrast, saturation and brightness. I also seem to be able to max out the quality and still get 90fps. I'll test on some more of my favourite tracks in different weather and lighting conditions, but so far I like it a lot.

Good job! Thanks a lot

hm i wouldn't suggest using the photomode one for actual driving. the next version (will upload when next version of pure releases) will handle other weather and lighting conditions better, namely overcast and dusk/dawn will have better contrast than now, feels very immersive imo
I've come to love this filter. Trying out all sorts of different ones (including what comes with Pure / PureEYE) I've concluded that this is nonetheless the most natural one (pun forgiving) as many others just saturate the dark colours too much which is not something you see in real life. Also the FPS gains help with performance. Thank you!

Cheers for the feedback. Pure is getting better and better and the next version of this filter should improve alongside the next version of pure
I've been enjoying the mod a lot so far, helped reaching quite better immersion in vr without actually costing me any performance!
It keeps getting updated regularly to fix all the minor issues or tweak even better a few things, so I can't really sat anything bad about it.
Thanks for these regular updates.
=)
C'set MON filtre! C'est LE filtre! C'est comme ça! Gloire à toi brillant homme!
Excellent filter, one of my favourites, but there are no sunrays? After the new csp update we finally got sunrays back, but with this filter i got no sunrays...Is there a update coming? Im using pure.
Chris Kennedy
Chris Kennedy
assume you are using VR? I've made it so they are quite subtle and only shown at low sun angles. if you are using pure 2d skydomes then it is even more difficult to see them, as often the skydome texture blocks the sun. you could modify the godray length line in the .lua file. i may add a slider in a future version to allow people to edit it in the pure config app. any other questions lmk in the "ask a question" thread
This, plus the new Pure is absolutely peak Assetto Corsa for me. The lighting and color balance in all weather conditions, at all times of day, looks crisp and correct. Atmospherics is one of the hardest things to get right, and pursuit of perfect atmospherics is something I've spent a long time on in the AC modding journey.

Just bravo.

looks excellent! great work!
I'm using it with CSP/PURE/SOL and my Reverb G2 - great combination!

Didn't need to adjust anything. nice.
Thanks

(Still wondering how to get the brake lights to decent bright level...)
Chris Kennedy
Chris Kennedy
cheers! re. brake lights, theres not much you can do without breaking something else. can discuss in more detail in the "ask a question" thread, e.g. is it an issue at day or night or both?
