Report by Presenters:
"It is now a new exciting era for F1 due to the new engine regulations. These new regulations have caused numerous manufacturers to enter or even return to the sport.
After many talks and rumours going around, fans were delighted to see Porsche become involved with the Red Bull Powertrains division. The Red Bull team are to be powered by Porsche while their sister team Alpha Tauri will use an enhanced version of last years Red Bull engine. This is to help the Powertrains division and Porsche collect data for comparisons and help shape their new engines.
Aston Martin, no longer receiving Mercedes power units, developed their own engine department to become a full works team. While they expect their engine to be slightly down on power compared to Mercedes at first, their lightweight and compact concepts may prove to help in other areas to make up gains.
Both BMW and Ford returned to the sport as engine manufactures as well. Haas and the American manufacturer Ford have made a deal recently, resulting in Haas no longer being a customer team for Ferrari. A similar situation for Williams, whom no longer receive their engines from Mercedes. While talks were believed to be taken with Porsche, Williams ultimately made a deal with BMW, a return that fans may also remember back in the late 1990s.
Will these new regulations motivate potential dedicated new teams onto the grid?! We will find out soon!"
