It's not really a true chrome. It's just a brushed metal effect with a VERY high gloss run over the top and lots of very tiny (and large) matte bits to add contrast.

In game you kind of have to look at it from the right angle for it to look chromed... but I figure that's fine because the brushed metal looks ok anyway.
