Here are a couple of high resolution (4K and 8K) skins for the Lotus 88B from Legion. The car is available from Legion's Blog (look under 'Other cars') or get it directly from his Google Drive.
The Lotus 88 was an engineering masterpiece that would eventually break Colin Chapman's spirit. Although the radical dual-chassis car passed scrutineering and took part in practice sessions at several F1 events, it was never allowed to race due to protests from other teams.
Intense legal battles followed the car's exclusion but the project was eventually abandoned. The FIA’s vague policies and dirty tactics had a detrimental effect on Chapman who would live to see just one more of his cars (1982’s Lotus 91) take a win, before suffering a heart attack in December 1982, aged 54.
The car is presented here as it was at its final appearance (Silverstone, 1981) where it was re-introduced as the Lotus 88B. Cars and new helmets for both Elio de Angelis (#11) and Nigel Mansell (#12) are included.
Classic Team Lotus now runs one of these cars in historic racing events and Dan Collins gave the car what was perhaps a long-overdue victory in 2011, setting the fastest time in the Goodwood FOS Shootout that year.
I really love this car and everything it represents. The Legion version has ludicrous levels of grip but its great fun to drive.
'Restoring' it has been a work of passion (on and off) over the last year. A lot of hours have been spent adding way more detail than anyone is ever likely to notice but I like it like that. The goodness is there if you want to see it.
A couple of notes:

A couple of notes:
- The rooster on the windscreen is optional and can be removed if you want a cleaner look. Just rename l88_glass_no_chicken.dds to l88_glass.dds. Kindly observe and appreciate my nicely hand-drawn chicken though before you trash it.
- Content Manager and CSP are required.
