This is Lakeside Park, formerly known as Lakeside Raceway. It is a permanent track opened on 19th March, 1961.
I made this track under licence from Queenland Raceway Pty Ltd in 2010 originally for rFactor 1
After this track I made Queensland Raceway, Ipswich using CAD plans from QR and thousands of photos from the real track.
With this version of Lakeside, it is not up to AMS standards, but does work quite well. I am working on a new version currently based on the 2015-16 version of the track. Quite a lot has changed over the last few years.
Lakeside hosted 2 Formula One races in the late 1960s and numerous ATCC rounds up to about 2001. It was destined to be bulldozed to make way for housing, but thanks to public support, QR secured a 40 year lease on the land.
Currently the track is used for track days and minor races due to the 95 decibel limit. Various clubs and social events take place weekly.
These are issues with the track, and I will address these before I release version 2.0. This has new road and terrain mesh and all new objects and details.
I anyone would like to help upgrade the AIW and other bits, please contact me and we can build it to something special.

I then finished a early version in Max before the big update to the track in 2009. The version here is how the track looked in 2010.
Over the last 5 years it has been cleaned and updated, so it deserves a huge update to the current 2016 layout.
