Kandavas Kartodroms is a karting track located in Kandava, Tukums district, Jelgavas street 16. The track was built in 1972. In 1987, the asphalt concrete pavement was restored. In 2008, the track was completely renovated, reconfigured and built according to international standards. The author of the reconstruction project is Herman Tilke and his office Tilke GmbH, which has developed several Formula 1 track projects.
The track is 1012 meters long, it has 11 turns. The track can be used in both directions. It has three shortcuts that allow you to create eight different track configurations. It is the first motorsport infrastructure object in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia designed by Herman Tilke.
The track from 1974 to 1990 was the training base of the USSR karting team. During this time, 12 USSR sports masters and 4 international sports masters were trained under the leadership of Hugo Jurševskis. The track hosts local and international karting competitions. Rental go-karting is also available on the track for the general public.
