This pack contains the skins for all 22 cars which participated in the 2000 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) GT500 class. All skins are available in either 2k or 4k resolution, just select the folder you want and copy/paste to your assettocorsa directory.
A few notes:
I hope you all enjoy this pack as it contains some iconic Japanese motorsport liveries. It is a series I have long been interested in since Gran Turismo brought these utterly superb race cars to my attention back in the day!
If this pack turns out to be popular I have a few ideas for later season download packs to capture the different era's of the Nissan / Honda / Toyota (Lexus) battle...
For anyone who may not know you can watch all of the Super GT races live and in full on Nismo TV’s YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/nismotv2013 They have English commentary and also have races from previous seasons on the channel also (not back to 2000 though but they do have the odd video with the R34 GT500!)
A few notes:
- To have the full grid you must own the “Dream Pack” DLC to get the McLaren F1 GTR
- All remaining cars have been added to manufacturer group “JGTC 2000” in the UI
- As there is no Mirage GT1 model the #69 skin has been put onto the Lamborghini
- The Viper and Diablo are only intended as AI cars so please don’t tell me if they aren’t great to drive! (I don’t want to do skins for the URD versions at his point)
- The skins aren’t all 100% accurate, partly due to some missing logos or artistic licence but I feel they are definitely 95% or better
- I am not responsible for the car mods themselves, they are done by the original authors and I only created the skin pack with a slight BOP modification.
- I deliberately used an older version of the Supra rather than the superb version available here at Race Department as I felt the bodykit more closely matched the 2000 version (specifically the bonnet). If this pack gets a lot of downloads I will use the better version for ’03 onwards.
