Custom helmet skins perfectly suited to the old style formula one cars etc.where leather helmets and skullcaps were used. The skins make use of a unique driver/helmet resource called "Skidlid" which was sourced from "Legion".

Installation Instructions :
1) Copy the "driver_skidlid.kn5" file to the "content\driver" folder.
2) Go to "content\cars" and open up the car folder where you want to replace the drivers helmets. Then open the "data" FOLDER. There you will find a file called "driver3d.ini". Open that file by double-clicking on it. (use Notepad or Wordpad)
3) Edit the second line to specify the skidlid driver model to be used. That line should now read "NAME=driver_skidlid". Save the file.
NOTE : if the car's directory contains a FILE called "Data.acd", rather than a folder, that file MUST have the contents extracted first, using the "Assetto Corsa Car Tuner" app. (Download from Race Department). That will then give you access to the Data FOLDER.
4) The helmet skins are placed directly into the cars individual skins folders. These individual helmet skins are .dds files, but they all have the same name. Select the design you want (based on the description in the "skins" folder). Copy the file called "the_driver_au.dds" from the sub-folder, and paste it directly into the cars individual skin folder you want to use.
NOTE : The origin of the file called "driver_skidlid.kn5" is from a person/organisation called "Legion", and was obtained from a car mod uploaded by him/her/them. The default helmet skin for this file is a plain white model.
