This is more modding support than a stand alone. So to use it, you first need a working mod,
maybe a Kunos Mod Tune that is created by Assetto Corsa Car Tuner, etc.
This pack includes 3 Gauges. I modeled them with Blender (my first own 3d model) and generated the Textures with a C# program in unity.
Gauges, that are supported now:
Boost
Oil Temp
Speed/RPM (mixed)
Here is a little examples video:
How do you get the gauges working with your mod:
I use 3d Simed (free Demo available) to open a kn5 file from a mod. Then i position my Greddy Gauges in the car and export the new kn5. Now i screenshot the positions.
This is important to calculate the later positions of the Font Items.
BTW, i create the font myself, too.
After that i open the Digital_instruments.ini or create it when it is not
available. You can directly add the preset from the pack and just change some indices if needed.
Calculation from the font objects:
Oil Temp: ( == ITEM_2)
(just change the position values in the ini and read out the Gauge positions from your screenshots)
POSITION = Gauge Position.x - 0.018, Gauge Position.z + 0.0015, -Gauge Position.y - 0.021
Boost: ( == ITEM_0)
POSITION = Gauge Position.x - 0.0025, Gauge Position.z + 0.0015, -Gauge Position.y - 0.021
Boost Placeholder == ITEM_3)
POSITION = Gauge Position.x - 0.0175, Gauge Position.z + 0.0015, -Gauge Position.y - 0.021
Speed: ( == ITEM_1)
POSITION = Gauge Position.x - 0.0155, Gauge Position.z + 0.0015, -Gauge Position.y - 0.021
I didnt update the textures inside the kn5 instead i created new textures, you can put in the skin folders of your mod. You find them in the skin folder inside the pack. Maybe i fix that on the next update. And dont forget to copy greddyfont.png and greddyfont.txt in your font folder (AC/content/font).
