THE car of the 1923 season, without the characteristic unreliability that nearly all cars of that era suffered from it probably would've won every race. It was the first supercharged car to compete in a major Grand Prix although apparently a 1.5 litre FIAT in a minor regional race beat it to the title of 'first ever', according to FIAT themselves.

Probably the hardest car to make so far, almost entirely because reference material is so scarce and hard to find. Best resource I found was this book illustration that someone pointed me to, though even that is distorted

Anyway, I did my best with what I had and I think it's a pretty reasonable attempt. I always find these cars such fun to drive and this one is no exception, should feel slightly faster than the Sunbeam and if you can find a long enough straight (old Mulsanne) it'll get up to about 220kmh (136mph)...eventually. In future I might add the 145bhp Monza version that had a Roots supercharger but that means remodelling the front of the car so it will take a little time.

Only real flaw I can see is the driver model's elbow slightly clips through the bodywork. I've minimized it as much as I could but as you can see in this picture the cockpit is realistically cramped and I couldn't find a way to get a smooth animation without a little clipping, not something you even notice unless you look really closely.

Hope you're all still staying safe, sadly I lost a member of my family to Covid even though we were fanatically strict about following the rules, still wasn't enough to keep us healthy. Although of course it's better to follow them than not, you lower the risk at least.

Stay inside and race mad old bangers instead! Happy racing!

woweee!!!!! its a brand new game!!!
Absolutely lovely! This is the first car that truly gave me that Sunday chilled "driving for the pleasure of it" kind of feeling.

One can appreciate all the hard work that went into this. I know it's late but condolences on the loss of your family member. Blessings to your and to your family.
merci beaucoup
Enchanting!
Another picture can be found here, it doesn't add anything new but anyway...

This period is most welcome and fills a gap in a game. I would like to hear more gear trouble. I´m sure the gears needed to be lured in and if not, it let itself be heard.
Excellent work! I love these vintage cars and tracks and this car is another fine example! Keep up the great work!
Beautiful model, the noise of the engine is maddening though! Well it's not your choice I know :) but I pity the drivers of back then!

Thanks. I'll be charitable and assume it's someone new to RD who made a mistake. Don't really care too much about ratings tbh, but I also don't care to help someone who asks for it like that.
Awesome! Love these pre-1930's racers. Are the 1910 FIAT S76 Record "Beast of Turin" or the 1909 Blitzen Benz in your horizons?
Absolutely brillant! I drove the car in the past few days and it is perfect in every way. There is a great attention to details (3d model, textures, animations) and the physics feels so realistic. Just perfect!
It deserves to be one of the best mod ever made for AC.
Thank you very much for your effort :)
Great MOD one car I can drift! without crashing.
Great car! Thank you. Sorry to read about you loss. Stay safe.
I love that sunk in leather strap. Only the Italians would have that attention to style. And the turned metal on the dash. Oh baby. If you're looking for your next vintage project, the Fiat 806 from 1927 is pure sex.
