Ferrari 488 GTE Sound Mod 1.2

488 GTE sound is finally here.

I used the excellent 488 GTLM mod from @zerobandwidth as the base for my sound. You can download the car from here. During the creation of the sound, however, I needed to make some basic changes to RPM values inside engine.ini and drivetrain.ini files. The changes are based on what I could hear or see on actual onboards of the car. The sound will work without those modifications, but I strongly recommend you do it. Shortly I will make it clear how to install and have the intended sound experience while maintaining an unmodified version of the car.

In case you want to use the sound with another car, here are the .ini lines you need to alter:

engine.ini
MINIMUM=2300
LIMITER=6810
MAX_BOOST=0.450

drivetrain.ini
OVERREV=2300

ai.ini
UP=6550

-----

Steps for instalation:

1 - Download and install the 488 GTLM mod from here
2 - Run Assetto Corsa Car Tuner, select zbw_ferrari_488_gte and create a new tune named "Sound"
3 - Donwload the sound, unpack and drag the folders to your AC cars folder (steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars) and overwrite the files
4 - The car you appear as "Ferrari 488 GTE Sound" on AC.

-----

The recommend audio settings inside AC:

Engine: 10
Everything else: 5

Credits goes to 19Bozzy92, MattyB727 and sportcrash71 for the external sounds, and to MP Podcast for the internal sounds.

Perfection. Nothing to say.
Excellent work!! Totally transforms the experience.
The sound itself is very very good, but there is an issue with the rev limiter. The rev limiter sound plays to early which means you hear the sort of buzzing mechanical strain of the engine revving higher than it is supposed to, to early. And adjusting the ini files impacts performance, and is not possible on a lot of other cars. It would be great if the max RPM sound could play in higher RPM, or be removed. Other than that the sound is really really good, it's just a shame I cannot really use it because of this. Please try and fix this, it would bring the mod up to a solid 5 stars which it deserves for me!

This is how the 488GTE behaves in real life. It doesn't go over 6800RPM when accelerating, but can overrev during downshifts. I just tried to recreate that the best way I could.

So that something I can't "fix", , but the good news is that I will be releasing a 488 GT3 sound this week. You will be able to use that one with other cars more easily, since the sound has a higher rpm. :)
I wanna cry!
Very good job. Thanks!
Simply put: AWESOME!. One of the best sounds in AC for inmersion. Thanks for yout work and keep this amazing sounds coming, please :)
no ks f. 488 gte ----) yes zbw f. 488 ? DOWNLOAD
This is soooo good! Definitely one of the best if not the best sound mod so far, sounds so real!
However, there is the same problem as with the 2018 bentley: Once the exhaust faces away from the camera, the car is veery quiet compared to others. If you can fix this, this sound is PERFECT!
Btw, interior sounds are spot on!
