First, a basic introduction.
What you're seeing here is part one of a collection of liveries I will be making based on aircraft featured in the arcade air combat videogame series called "Ace Combat"
The plan is to make a livery of every enemy ace squadron featured in "Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War" as that is my personal favorite game in the longstanding franchise.
Seeing as airplanes and cars have vastly different shapes, sometimes some major creative liberties will have to be taken.
The best example is this Espada 1 livery. Personally, I'm not entirely satisfied and would have liked to make it resemble the airplane livery more. I've gone through several versions but in the end, I settled for this one. Keep in mind that the Saab 35 Draken is basically a flat triangle shape after all. Anything that's painted on that is hard to adapt onto the "square" body of a car.
I'm of the opinion that a livery should flow with the lines of the car itself. That's why I think the rear of the Espada 1 livery works much better
Espada 2 on the other hand turned out looking really nice and somewhat menacing. It is still the same livery as Espada 1 but now without the yellow X and different colors.
This livery more closely resembles that of the Dassault Rafale flown by Espada 2
I've decided to pick 507 and 506 as the base racing numbers as these are the numbers of both respective aircraft in-game
This will probably be one of the more "basic" liveries of this collection as the Espada paint scheme doesn't really have a lot of elements to play with. Stuff like Gault and Silber for example with their camouflage paint schemes will be more exciting to work with so keep an eye out for when those come.
This is it for part one of what I'm gonna call "the round table collection"
As to when the next liveries will be done and posted, I don't know. Silber is already done (it was the first livery I made over 6 months ago even) and will probably be posted sometime in the coming week. you'll have to be a bit more patient for the rest of the liveries but hopefully you won't have to wait till 2022
