A fictional 1.000hp super trophy truck for regular tracks and tracks with jumps
Summary:
This is my fictional MegaTruck, a fun, over-the-top, 1000hp driftable and jumpable buggy/truck. It is meant for use on tracks with jumps, such as the accompanying Megatruck Arena on Racedepartment. The handling is designed for fun, and so is the rest of the car. It is very flexible in availably setup options, and all files are unencrypted in case you want to tinker further.
Check out the youtube vid for an impression, although the track has been textured since. Visuals have been upgraded since, see the screenshots.
Additional info:
Making a vehicle and track was my covid lockdown project. Because I haven't worked on it for almost a year now and probably won't soon, I decided to release it as is. While it visually isn't completed, physics wise it is, and it works (wonderfully) online. Much time went into the tuning to make it reasonably easy to drive, but challenging and rewarding to get the most out of, as it needs to be drifted to corner fast. This is intentional, following the philosophy of Stadium Super Trucks.
It can also jump and land jumps. So at least on the Arena track, it won't sink through the road after landing a jump, a common issue with the Assetto engine.
The default setup is the high-stance truck version. However the standard setup options are set wide, so you can easily make a lowrider. In the zip file an example 'low' track setup is included in the folder called: "MOVE_CONTENT_TO_SETUPS".
Modding friendly
The data is unpack/unencrypted, and the .ini files are reasonably commented, so feel free to edit or use them as a base for your own vehicle. If you like to continue development, such as adding shaders, textures, glass, or if you are feeling particulary adventurous: movable suspension, then send me a PM so I can send you the Blender model.
The skin template (body_texture.xcf) is supplied in the textures folder.
Enjoy!
Lore:
From the Farcreek Engineering Megatruck promotional folder:
Until now, if you wanted to have some bouncy fun with mates in the dirt, there were only a few options. You could rent SuperStadium Trucks. They look fun, but a solid rear axle? Seriously, in 2021? 600 hp is for babies anyway.
So you look into more performance and find Trophy Trucks. An all round better package for sure, and with 900 bhp also much faster, But my god do they look like Tupperware on lifted supension. You aren't vain, but you are distinguished.
So you look into more design, you find Monster Trucks, and realised you've gone too far.
Here at Farcreek Engineering we see you. You're not one to compensate. You are comfortable in your skin, and you just want to have fun on the weekends, and look good doing it. A strong package, on a good looking body. Well good on ya! Farcreek Engineering has built exactly what you need.
The 2021 MegaTruck has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution for excellent handling and to help you take the big jumps with ease. 1,001bhp under your right foot will propel you forwards. The retro modern design goes with any occasion and is already a timeless classic. What about innovations such as the brake light integrated aero tunnels? Or brake lights on the front, so everyone can see that you're not braking. Cherry on the pie: unique magnetic invisible suspension.
