This mod aims to provide a slightly more accurate version of the 2022 cars performance with a few of my own tweaks. My own tweaks include rounding off the numbers, making sure every car has the same starting aero for the front of the car as there is for the rear, relativly speaking given theres more total load on the rear than there is on the front, correcting the weight of the PU to 150kg, making sure no car has downforce that starts below 0.9 and finally allowing every car to be able to reach the exact same maxed out performance, which isnt part of the base game apparently...
When it came to the aero balancing and number rounding, generally speaking the (A Spec) cars havent really lost or gained any performance compared to the base game, given any downforce that was gained, i.e Aston Martin, I've just increased the drag for which I find quite fitting due to the insane amount of porposing that car had at the start of the season, another example being the redbull which I reduced the downforce for whilst also reducing its drag to even it out. I Also increased the Base drag from 0.79 to 0.8 .
I have made it possible for every car across each varient of this mod, to be able to reach the exact same maxed performance, one area I tweaked to make this possible is the rear weight ditribution, which in the game cant be upgraded in career mode as its just a set value and does affect performance , so I have given evey car the exact same 0.11 . Apart from that I just changed the upgrade section of each xml file so that every upgradable value across all cars hits the same maxed limit.
Finally, the 3 differnt variations of this mod include the A / first half of the season spec and the B / second half of the season spec which is generally speaking for grand prix mode although works perfectly well in career mode, its just that the weight reduction upgrades will have far less or no effect as the weight of each car is near or already at the weight limit. Whereas the Bahrain version has the weight of each car massivly increased to be more realistic to real life as well as the performance of each of the cars to be more in line with the start of 2022 compared to just a general capture of the performance of each of the cars across the whole season.
First Half of the Season
Front Runners: Ferrari, Redbull
No Mans Land: Mercedes
Upper Midfield: Alpine, McLaren
Mid Midfield: Alfa Romeo
Lower Midfield: Alpha Tauri, Haas
Backmarkers: Aston Martin, Williams
Second Half of the Season
Clear of Field: Redbull
Front Runners: Ferrari, Mercedes
Upper Midfield: Alpine, McLaren, Aston Martin
Lower Midfield: Alpha Tauri, Williams, Haas, Alfa Romeo
Keep in mind the strength of each individual ai plays a massive role, so you may still see aston at the back of the grid.
