F1 2007 MOD 1.5

Some things to consider:​

The mod is really old already. From time to time people seem to have some problems installing the mod. Back then it all worked, unfortunately I am unable to help at this point. I just don't have the knowledge anymore, the mod was made ages ago. Something a kind user noted to me after troubleshooting himself:

"I would like to inform you the cause of the common crashes on your F1 2007 for F1 2012 mod, which seems to originate from database.bin and schema.bin ( inside the database folder ). It doesn't matter if the files were extracted from the "frontend" EXE or the RC 1.5 update; it will crash the game."

So that might be something to avoid. Anyway, enjoy the mod

These install wizards are meant to be used together to install F1 2012- 2007 mod. Each install wizard may be used separately but at your own risk.
The package is divided to multiple install wizards for easy update management on our end.
The complete package will add approximately 2.02GB to your F1 2012 installation directory. Please make sure you have enough free disk space before installing.

INSTRUCTIONS RC1.5

1. Make sure your F1 2012 with 2007 mod is complete and working. Otherwise proceed below to RC1.0 instructions first.

2. Download the 2007 mod update RC1.5 from the link below

3. Run the update RC1.5. Make sure you select your F1 2012 installation folder. Done
BEWARE: involves database change. may corrupt save game. BACKUP your files.

NOTES: If in any case you needed to run any of the RC1.0installers below after updating to 1.5, you need to reinstall
Update RC1.5 to make sure you have the latest version of the mod.

• less mass due to lighter minimum weight in 2007
• very small decrease in tyre grip due to grooved tyres
• less fuel mass to decrease the effect of heavy fuel load since 2007 cars refuels
• less front downforce and drag due to smaller 2007 front wing
• less rear drag due to lower position of 2007 rear wing
• more rear downforce due to 2007's much larger rear wing and various aero appendages

11.More competitive AI by aagancia
• Through database values
• AI has tiny aero and grip advantage for better competitiveness
• New later AI braking points: the lower car mass allows AI to brake much later.
• The mod comes with default AI files. You may use your favorite AI mod if you wish. However, please
make sure to use ONLY the ai folder. Using the other files will cause mod errors and very early AI
braking.

5.Tracks- 2007 adverts and graphics
- All 4 files must be saved in the same directory before running the .exe
- These files are quite big (700mb total). You may choose not use these. The 2007 mod will still run properly, but with 2012 track adverts

NOTES​

1. YTD may be difficult to pass when testing KERS and DRS. Please download and use this package as a work-around.

-copy contents of "Abu Dhabi with DRS for YDT" to your F1 2012 installation folder. This will enable DRS, BUT NOT KERS. It will help you pass the KERS and DRS test in YDT.
-after passing YDT, copy contents of "Abu Dhabi no DRS for 2007 season" to your F1 2012 installation folder. This will disable DRS.

2. AI mods
The mod comes with default AI files. You may use your favorite AI mod if you wish. However, please make sure
to use ONLY the ai folder. Using the other files will cause mod errors and very early AI braking.

3. Safety Car fix
The mod comes with its own safety car trigger coordinates. If you wish to use the trigger coordinates used by
the Safety Car Fix team, please download and use the NO DRS Zones mod by Melphiz here:
