As it sounds, this is a tyre wear mod... or not? This mod is a game changer that makes races in 35% to be at least 2 stops secured (it could be more). I think is a great combination with the mods "Better AI" and "More AI crashes". Take a look at the video with some highlights of a race with this mod applied from youtube.
The mod "More crashes" contains the option to add more tyre wear, so you might think my mod is useless, but I don't think so. The mod I mentioned has a problem. The tyre wear increase is, at it sounds, an increase of the values of wear for each compounds. It might seem ok... if not because AI is programmed to mandatory stop when they reach 60% or 65% of wear, leading in a lot of double stacks and even worse, AI stopping on the last but 1 lap, ruining their races. AI is also not clever enough to calculate when will they reach that value and for that reason, they aren't capable of calculating the best strategy.
Why is this mod better for tyre wear? Because it's being built not modifying the wear itself, but the grip values. So that, a 20% wear tyre feels like a 50% or 60% wear tyre. This way, AI aren't programmed to stop in silly circunstances and can calculate better the optimal strategy and not ruin their races in silly ways. SCs and Red Flags should be taken into account and they can change everything. AI still not perfect but in my experience, it's better to chose the 'default tyre wear' option in the "AI crashes mod" and then apply this mod. (It doesn't need any other mod to run btw)
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy it. For installing just replace the tyrecompounds.erp in 2023_asset_groups, f1_2023_vehicle_package, tyrecompounds folder with the one I give you.
