After Jhonathan Tibola brought over my files from the V8 hybrid mod for F1 2017 to F1 2019, it was time to take the mod a bit further. This enhanced variant of the V8 hybrid sound mod takes Jhonathan's port and adds:
-All external V6 hybrid sounds replaced by the external V8 sounds of the McLaren MP4-23, Brawn BGP-001 and McLaren MP4-25
-Adjusted upshifts for the AI and automatic transmission to shift up around when the rev lights should flash (except for Mercedes-powered teams)
-A new sound for Mercedes-powered teams
Installing this mod is a bit more involved than the previous F1 2019 V6 hybrid pitch correction and F1 2017 V8 hybrid mods. Included in the mod archive are the V8 sounds, as well as drag & drop and ERP Archiver variants of the remaining parts of the mod. Follow these instructions to properly install the mod:
-Start by dragging and dropping the "audio" folder into F1 2019's root directory
-If using the drag & drop method for car ERPs, open the "Drag & drop" folder and extract the "2019_asset_groups" folder contained within to F1 2019's root directory
-If using the ERP Archiver method for car ERPs, extract the JSON and XML files inside the "ERP Archiver" folder and use the ERP Archiver to replace those files in the appropriate car ERPs (there will be no XMLs for Mercedes, Racing Point and Williams as their AI and automatic transmission upshifts are fine as-is)
There is one audio glitch with this mod: when the engine starts before driving out the garage, the sound pitch is too high, making it sound like the cars are exceeding their rev limit when started up.
