I noticed only now that I did disable God Rays effect in my Assetto Corsa config.
That's why some users had an exaggerated sun glare effect: I didn't have the chance to test God Rays.
Fixed it with this update.
-Big improvements in occlusion and indirect illumination, obtained also by editing the shaders code;
-Improvements on color curves;
-Improvements on glare quality;
-Improvements made on tyre skidding smoke.
-Added an effect called AmbientLight. It improves visuals very much by creating a sort of subtle glare effect on all the image.
-Edited all presets (improved lighting in general), in particular the internal camera preset, which now is also a bit less heavy on GPU.
-Edited slightly clear and mid clear weathers.
What can I say. Basically I've redone everything, because of ReShade addition. Oh, obviously it has a FPS cost.
I've GTX1060 and it's pretty fine to run 60fps, but if you don't have powerful graphics, just stay on v8.
To update to v9, instead, uninstall the current DS-FX and read the new instructions of usage and installation from the mod info, or from the readme in the rar file.
-New global bloom ppfilters. It gives a new look the overall view, adding a lot of depth to it;
-Edited all weathers and ppfilters.
I bought a datacolor spyder 3 colorimeter, so I wanted to make an update for this mod after having calibrated the monitor, and here is it.
-New PP Filters: now their dynamic range is way higher on the bright areas, and light glares are managed better.
The eye filter will almost never burn bright colors (on white cars for example), without sacrificing exposure.
Camera filter burns colors more often, by choice: it's made to look as a camera.
-Changes in all weathers, made to work well with the new PP filters.
In particular: increased visibility on heavy fog weather.
Watch this example:
I noticed that occlusion and SweetFX didnt work anymore, on AC 1.8, so I had to make again basically everything:
-Removed SweetFX (delete dxgi.dll, ReShade.fx, Sweet.fx, and SweetFX folder from your AC folder);
-Removed the occlusion filters (delete them or just don't use them anymore, since they're deprecated);
-Redone totally eye and camera filters;
-Redone totally all the weathers;
-Tweaks in other system graphics files.
Check out the new screenshots!
Fixed exposure on some filters. Intall the whole mod again, since updates of AC probably overwritten this mod in your PC.
-Edited eye filter;
-Edited occlusion enabled filters, gained about 4-5 FPS than before, with this modification;
-Decreased a bit green and blue saturation. Set a saturation of about 92% in Assetto Corsa settings.
-Remade all filters;
-Added eye external filter;
-Added custom weathers and other tweaks in system graphics;
-Added customised SweetFX.
-Redone whole eye occusion filter;
-Changed white balance to 6000K to all profiles.
-Remade occlusion filters in order to fix the spots that AO created. It also draws much more proper shadows than before.
-Improved no occlusion filters, to match the occlusion ones as much as possible;
-Improved eye occlusion filter, corrected exposure and occlusion setup.
Redone the whole occlusion settings, in order to improve shading. Most car mirrors now aren't too much shaded anymore.
-New calibration for the two occlusion filters;
-Uploaded new preview images.
Added two filters with Ambient Occlution! These new filters look way more realistic, but also make the game heavier.
-Updated files for AC v1.2 (they added an ambient occlusion section, it's disabled by default, I tested enabling it and actually has some bugs, so I kept it disabled, for now)
-Improved exposure and gamma of eye filter
-Changed the name of both filters (the "int" filter is now called "eye", since it emulates human sight and can be used also for external cameras, the "out" filter is now called "camera", since emulates cameras), delete the previous ones, if you want (if you won't, you will have four DS-FX filters);
-"camera" filter has faster auto-exposure, now.
