Short Backstory:
The news came out quick after the end of Season 2019 that Gene Haas would like to get rid of his F1 Team after the americans didn't really care about F1 and the performance of the team was succesless. A statement published on the team's website indicates that it was in discussions with a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer consortium that was interested in investing, and in January 28 it was official, that the new team in the grid will be Dongfeng Petrochina Motorsport in the 2020 Formula One Season.
Their eponim company is PetroChina, a Chinese oil and gas company.
