So fun
Very much enjoying this course especially having done some SODI opens on it, and hoping to improve!

There seems to be a little bit of the tyres sticking onto the track as you enter the the back section so if you follow the racing line you clip the wall.

Is there a recommended kart to get close to the Sodi's or the Dmax's?

Hey, thanks for checking out the track! I'm currently working on a few updates so I'll look into the wall issue. Also, there is someone currently working on a great Sodi MOD which will be out soon. It will be a paid MOD I think, but from what I've seen, it's the best kart model around!
Very nice track man! What a job
I have a question: could you please make a Karting track Kerpen mod for assetto Corsa? It would be much appreciated

Thanks, this was my first effort and I started a Version 2 which is even better but just don't have loads of time at the moment. The only way I'll be able to put more time into tracks is if I charge people to be a part of it. I was going to start a Patreon but I mentioned it and it never took off. Maybe I'll try to get it off the ground again and then I'll be able to take some time out of the full time job and get onto some more circuits :)
Me again,
Just got back from Daytona IRL and i got 7th which is pretty decent seeing as my kart was busted and that was my 3rd time go Karting..
Thanks again for the track, 100% helped me nail some of the corners.... when my kart decided to work that is! :)
For a learning attempt to create a track this is really excellent. The track seems very accurate with elevations, feel of the road etc.

I'd love an option to run the national circuit as well which is used in Daytona's InKart.

Only issue is finding karts representative of the corporate karts within AC. Even the 50 karts seems much quicker. Some of the concrete sections are also less easy to drive on here e.g. turn 2 can be cut a lot more in real life. But this is really nitpicking great effort!

Thanks for the review; there is actually a brand new version in the works as I have new data and I had a track walk to take lots of photos. Not sure when I'll have time to work on it as I have to give priority to paid work until I can get my Patreon off the ground. The new version will have a couple of track variations included and it's already looking better than my first effort :)
love this track! never been here before but it was fun for the few laps i did. Im in the ACL kart i believe, and the AI dont move, i've tried with 20 of us on the grid (i had like 13FPS) and then i did 9 of us on the grid (still didnt move and about 20-30 FPS) any tips?
Great track and using as practice for the real thing. Would you be creating more tracks like; Ancaster, Whilton Mill, PF International etc? :)

Thanks for the review, Daytona got word of this track and have asked me to do some updates so stay tuned for that! I've done Daytona Sandown Park and I'm working on Bayford Meadows at the moment. They take a lot of work so I'm thinking about doing a patreon or something to raise some money to model all of the UK kart tracks over time.
nice job track. for info, RSR live timing is broken when you use hotlap. sadly, it save directly once u pass start line

Yeah, I'm having issues with the timing which I've not figured out yet. Didn't know about the RSR live timing so I'll see if anyone can help me to get it working...
I've been racing here for 5+ years and this is the best recreation i've seen yet, for a first mod this is amazing! Thank you very much for this mod
This is such a promising start. It feels accurate having done the 24h there last year. I love what you've done here and really hope it can be developed with textures and more furniture. I particularly love that you've included some of the notorious kerbs and gutters, as well as the iconic big top. Don't stop! Looking forward to the next iteration.
Fantastic Track Carl. Can you put some more pit boxes and grid slots so i can race ai. I've created an ai line for you if you are interested.

Hey, I was planning on making a few tweaks later this week so I'll add some more grid slots and pit boxes. AI line would be great; I was just trying to figure out how to do that so that I can add camera etc...

I'm working on Daytona Sandown at the same time, so hopefully I'll have something to show on that soon too.
This is a very good base and there it is very close and very good graphically considering this is your first attempt.

One thing I will say for the current version is that some of the curbs are a lot bigger/smaller than in the real life counterpart. There are also a lot of missing textures in the road, such as with the entry to the hairpin before the big straight, as well as a lot of the concrete inside curbs.

Overall for a start this is very impressive and I'm excited to see how far this goes :D
Hi Carl,

I haven't been to DMK before, but have raced a laser scanned version on rFactor2. I must say, this is an impressive start. Real talk, I felt your previous one to be a bit lacklustre, very sparse, and quite basic.

This one is far more impressive, and I commend the progress you've made. The difference between the two is unrivalled. Blender can also be a bit**, so fair play to you for sticking at it.

I've found some barriers are not collisionable so when I inevitably spin off, I find myself in the abyss. Aside from this, excellent stuff. Look forward to more updates.

Thanks for taking a look; the original track was by someone else so I can't take credit for that; it's what inspired me to have a go.. I'll have a look at the barriers; I thought I'd sealed in the entire track but I must have missed a few spots..
Track looks and feels great having been there myself a few times. Only issue I had was needing to rename the folder to daytonamk to get it to launch, other than that, love it
Exceptional within the restrictions the author mentions (AI/Lights etc). I've done enough laps of this place and even the textures on the drains are familiar.
Has a great potential mate. Learn stuff by stuff and it'll be a really good track
