So, here's a template that hopefully anybody no matter what creative skill you contain, will be able to create your own custom livery!
Things you will need:
Paint.Net: https://www.getpaint.net/
Paint.Net DDS Plugin: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/111731-dds-filetype-plus-06-14-2023/
EGO Erp Archiver 9.1: https://p2t5r.itch.io/ego-erp-archiver/download/eyJpZCI6ODM0MTQsImV4cGlyZXMiOjE2ODkxNDk5NzV9.fh+h3iy+DaNpirs5OZFnIgcyTso=
SemiModularMods Base Files: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/semi-modular-mods-base-files-semimomods.61598/
First things first, you'll have to open to words.erp (provided in this package) in EGO ERP Archiver. (you can learn how to use EGO here: https://p2t5r.itch.io/ego-erp-archiver)
Once you have this open, you can view all the textures that are provided in this. Provided in v1.0 are the following textures:
What you will need to do is click on one of them, then press Textures > Export. And export the .DDS files into a folder of your choice. Then find those exported files and open them with Paint.Net!
Here is the livery file you will have to edit:
And here is what it looks like on the car:
Huge shoutout to @JPereira Design as this template livery is a stripped back version of his amazing Apple Porsche Livery!
So big thanks to him for allowing me to use his fantastic creation as a base-line.
The premise is simple, open up the .DDS file in Paint.Net, and add layers OVER each sponsor or logo area. I reccomend using .PNG files as they have transparent backgrounds, and you wont have to mess around with removing the background yourself (it is easy to do, but just trying to keep things simple):
Once you've placed all your sponsors and logos over the marked areas, you can select the 'Background' layer and start removing them:
Once you've done that for the entire car, you can add details as and where you like, change the colours etc. and then save the .DDS! The .DDS needs to be specific, so copy these save settings!!:
Once that's saved. You can open up the words.erp in EGO Archiver, and then this time you want to click on the file, Textures > Import. And then replace the template livery with your new one:
Once you have replaced all the textures. Ensure to go File > Save. And save the .erp.
Then, in order to get this into the game, you simply want to replace the words.erp in your F1 23 file (this won't exist if you haven't installed Semi Modular Mods Base Files first!!) with your new words.erp.

Then, go into game and find either the Genesis car or the Audi Livery (if you have it). And check out your cool new car!
Lastly, the Emblem that you import will need to be specific colours in order for it to be the colour you imported. So in-game when you are selecting your emblem, ensure the colours are:
