CarSharing App for AC HotLap
(Hotlap Leaderboard)
This app has arisen from driving hotlaps with some friends on my Assetto Corsa simulator.
Every driver sits down for about 2-3 hot laps and wants to achieve the best lap time.
Due to the fact that we meet every day, we are used to challenge us with one car per week on one track per month.

The Carsharing app is based on the SAVED car-setup each driver uses !
If it's Peter's turn, he loads and saves a car-setup called "p" (p.ini stored by AC)
The app then shows the best lap time and the amount of driven laps by "Peter".
Additionally all available best lap times of all drivers are checked to show the best driver (and his lap time) on the current track-car combination.
Before you start using this app, please check and prepare the "drivers.ini" in folder "ini".
Define your driver names corresponding to the car-setup name each driver will use.
Unfortunately the app DOES NOT react on a LOADED car-setup.
Each driver has to SAVE his car-setup before starting his hot lap.
Since Vista, Windows does not provide the last accessed/loaded file (car-setup ini).
So, the app detects the LAST MODIFIED and SAVED car-setup ini.
There is an option to get the last access on a file under Windows, but this is not enabled by default for some good reasons.
(pTracker client app has created some hook dll which is able to get the last loaded car-setup)
The CarSharing app was developed and tested on Windows 10 64bit.
Asetto Corsa Oct 2018.
It was never tested in any other mode than AC hotlap.
The app starts working in the moment you apply the gas, in hotlap game-mode (before you cross the start line).
For functionality of the app, the start line must be crossed with a previously saved car setup. Driver changes before crossing the start line can result in lap times being saved for the wrong driver.
This app creates ini-files named like your car-setup-names, in the folder "apps\python\CarShaing\ini\" and saves the car, the track and the best lap time for each driver.
Cleanup \Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\python\CarSharing\ini\ except "drivers.ini" to start with your hotlaps.
The app creates new files depending on your car-setup names.
In CarSharing.v.0.5, sector times were introduced.
Additionally the app determines the best sector times and the leader of a sector.
The optimal best lap is calculated, based on the best sector times.
Three sounds were added, which start playing if you have a new best sector time.
Thanks to R.R.
