Bromsgrove Club Circuit v1.0 by Caribstu of Ripe Banana for GTR2
======================================
Bromsgrove Club Circuit is the twelfth release of my 20 tracks.
ABOUT THE TRACK
The CLUB CIRCUIT is a shorter, faster, more high speed layout than Bromsgrove Long Circuit, and excludes the infield hairpin. It's similar in some ways to Castle Coombe and the original Silverstone in the sense that it's built on the outer boundary road of a WW2 airfield, making it a highspeed circuit. The highspeed nature of this circuit means as you push your braking points further and further braking deeper into the corners to max your lap time, the circuit will definitely grow on you.
It is a fictional circuit inspired by Rissington Kart Track, RAF Rissington, Gloucestershire, UK. The track is 'inspired' and not a 100% representation. It has been scaled up for cars, and set as a fictional full length circuit. Rissington is still an active RAF airfield and drivers require MOD approval to race at the track. the more eagle eyed of you may notice I've put a light aircraft in the sky over the airstrip.
Settings Folder will not overwrite any of your existing car set ups. Paste the folder and click Yes to All.
INSTALLATION the Animations folder will overwrite one of the animated spectators and replace his street clothes with a Marshal's suit. If you do not install then some trackside marshals will appear in normal clothes. The track folder includes Bromsgrove Long circuit, you can click YES TO ALL unless you've made any personalizes alterations to that track.
KNOWN ISSUES
There is a small problem with the timing gates, in that they will not record the gap time between the player and AI cars.
Driver's position, overall lap time, and section times are recorded correctly. However the pitboard will not provide correct data for the previous or next car gap. I've tried to solve this by creating new gates and AIW data, but can't seem to fix. Of course, if anyone is able to fix it, please, by all means release an update.
DISCLAIMER: Install and use this track and it's components at your own risk. It's advisable to make a copy of your main GTR2 file before any MOD installation.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
GTR2 is the only game / sim i have. I did not consider myself a 'gamer' before I discovered GTR2 and as someone who used to race i fell in love with A. the SIM aspect and B. the ability to 'mod'
The track is built in Bobs Track Builder, then edited in 3DsimED. Thanks to Brendon and Dave for those user friendly software.
I use a combination of photoshop, illustrator, and paint.net to do textures and skins.
Sketch up and Blender for some 3D modelling.
I knew nothing about modding before embarking on this project and it's all been a matter of 'self taught' with a lot of help from members of the NOGRIPFORUM and RACEDEPARTMENT
THE PROJECT
I began building 20 new unique original tracks as part of a collection designed for my fictional JCW MINI COOPER Racing Series, and HOT HATCH Championships. The tracks are all fictional, though several are inspired by UK Kart Circuits, scaled up for cars, with some artistic license in terms of layout and elevations. Two are inspired by sections of real world circuits, all blended together, and one is based on the Millbrook Proving Ground.
The 20 tracks were v1.0 completed between 2021 and 2022. During 2022 I spent a lot of time tweaking AIW files, adding in ANI flag marshals, and upgrading the textures to HQ. I've created a lot of original textures for my track builds. An emphasis on 'localizing' trackside billboards, and environment textures.
Some objects are original builds by myself, others are downloaded from 3D model stock sites, many are from widely available Xpacks, and some have been imported from other track models. No offence to the original creator of those models. When i started this project it was only intended for my own personal use, but as I've gone on and my track builds have got better, I've decided to release them to share.
