Hey everyone, I'm dropping another small update today for Bathurst that should greatly improve the sense of immersion when racing here. One thing that has always bothered me about this track in AC is the lack of spectators, the crowd at full capacity looks more similar to the 2020 running of the 1000 during the height of the pandemic restrictions.
Here is a photo of the crowd for the 2022 running.
And here is what we have in AC, There's barley anyone on the main straight or on the mountain.
So I made some changes to the camera_facing.ini file and have adjusted things to get a much more realistic look that reflects a more realistic crowd for the great race. Note that this is a major increase in spectators so even though I have not noticed any significant performance drops on my end when testing, lower end systems could so just be mindful. All parts of the track have seen some increases but I mainly focused on the main straight area and the top of the mountain where is was glaringly obvious there was not enough people.
To install this just drop this into content manager or copy the camera_facing.ini file into the data folder inside the track folder for rt_bathurst. I would suggest if your not confident your pc can handle this update back up the original camera_facing file so you can revert it back to normal.
