What does this do?
This mod adjusts the performance of the UnitedRacingDesign Detroit EGT 2018 to be more in line with the other S397 GTE cars, effectively producing more competitive and enjoyable racing.
How to install?
Place the URD_Detroit_BOP.rfcmp file into your rFactor 2\Packages folder and install in game!
You will need to have already installed V1.1 of the mod from URD.
The vehicle will now be updated to V1.11 and skins should now be placed in here.
How was this achieved?
Credit goes to Global Endurance Modding for this 'downgraded' setup. It was derived from the last available build (August 2021) of the "Global Endurance Mod - Season 2018/19" which has since been discontinued from the Steam Workshop.
This new BOP file is based on the GEC GTEPro setup and I have enabled the customisation of the flaps and lights as found on the base mod.
The aforementioned mod faced an issue in its last update where the URD Detroit files caused the game to crash. I did some investigation and discovered that it was the .hdv files to be the culprit.
Global Endurance Modding had in fact modified the car more extensively, unfortunately however, a build of GEM's latest modifications has not publicly released in a working state so far.
Nevertheless, I have found that their Upgrades.ini file works well enough to bring greater parity amongst the GTE competition, which provides a much needed improvement to racing as the standard URD Detroit is significantly faster than all the S397 GTE cars.
