Since the original worked out so well, and I learned some more about using GIMP effectively, here's another adaptation of the livery from Mike Rockenfeller's #99 Phoenix Racing Audi from the 2017 DTM season. Just for kicks, there are three flavors of the livery, using car number decals from DTM, Blancpain GT3, and IMSA GTD.
The archive file includes all three flavors, plus the GIMP .xcf file used to create them. The details that are unique to each flavor are stored in separate layers, so it's easy to switch between them.
This skin template turned out to be a bit easier than the other one anyway, so I might try some others once I catch up on sleep…
