A feature that should have been in the base game, but this is the only workaround you need. You can move the flag around to wherever you like and it is completely invisible when not showing a flag, you can also re-scale the flag. Or change the flag image to something else than the stock flags, if your prefer that.

love this, but which folder in the zip should i use? the zip contains 2 folders: AC_Flags_1.7 and AC_Flags_1.7.1 (both of them not 1.8 as the update says)

Use 1.7.1 or I re-downloaded the correct files to RD. Sorry about that.

Great idea! If you want, feel free to add the flags I made for a mod I did a while ago if they are of any use, they've been redesigned and have different levels of transparency.
