Another modernized replica of a design from the 1990s: the Roock Racing Porsche! I have done this one before in the past on the 911 RSR GTE but it was a near 1:1 replica of the original 993 GT2. This time I wanted to make it look contemporary just like the earlier Pilot Racing Ferrari 296 GT3.
Unlike the Pilot Ferrari which even back in its time had a design that was clean and that left space for almost all logos to breathe; the various 993 GT2 Roock liveries specifically Did Not Do That. Now don't get me wrong I think that approach has a lot of charm but unless done on purpose like on many drift designs, it's not exactly seen as professional nowadays - nor does it conform to many brand guides. So that was the main challenge here: keeping this charm while designing something that is in line with today's standards.
