The VRC Formula NA 2021 is a paid mod and well worth the fee.
For the 2024 races at these courses, IndyCar used the full front and rear wings from the usual road course setup on the oval.

This presents an issue when you try to accurately recreate the race using the VRC NA 2021 in Assetto Corsa.

I believe the most efficient way of doing so is to use the data from the short oval car with the model from the road course version.

Among other things, this removes push-to-pass from the car - which is not active on IndyCar ovals.

I am unsure if IndyCar will continue this setup for the remaining oval races on the 2024 calendar in Milwaukee and Nashville.

Follow the instructions below to add an "intermediate" kit to your Assetto Corsa installation BEFORE applying this download.
  1. Make a copy of your vrc_formula_na_2021_road folder in Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars
  2. Retitle this new folder as vrc_formula_na_2021_intermediate
  3. Delete existing skins inside of your vrc_formula_na_2021_intermediate folder, if desired
  4. Using content manager, unpack the data of your VRC short oval kit.
  5. Copy/paste the data folder from the short oval kit to your new vrc_formula_na_2021_intermediate folder.
  6. In Content Manager, use the "Replace sound" function to correct the audiobank by pointing it to your VRC road kit
  7. In Content Manager, select "pack data"
  8. Copy/paste the contents of this skin pack download to your installation
This download also includes an extension folder to ensure proper tyre textures. A UI folder will make the main VRC entry a parent to this setup.

Many of the helmets were initially created by Kerm for my 2022/2023 skinpacks for the RSS Formula Americas 2020 car. I've updated many of them. Almost all of them require ACSPRH to work in-game. If you are seeing all white helmets, you've not properly installed ACSPRH.

Great skins, but there is already a short oval kit car....

Yes, but IndyCar used the full front and rear wings from the typical road course kit for the most recent race. Those front and rear wing elements are missing from the short oval kit, meaning the skins would not be accurate if I simply applied them to the short oval template.
Excellent
