After numerous weekends putting this together I feel it's in good enough shape for an initial release.
This mod is based on my own design concept for a fifth-generation Honda Integra coupe in Type R form, specifically the 2023 facelift.
Putting this in Assetto Corsa was largely an exercise in evaluating my design surfaces in motion, and for the novelty of having my own work be driveable, albeit virtually.
The ultimate goal with this project was to create a design that could theoretically be manufactured in real life. Fleshing out the concept further in a racing sim and making the vehicle specs come to life added another layer of realism.
All geometry, textures, and sounds were created from scratch. Tuning and data were set up with the FL5 Civic Type R's times around Laguna Seca, Tsukuba, and Suzuka Circuit as performance targets. Where the DC8 differs from the FL5 is in its smaller overall footprint, lower weight, shorter gearing, and naturally-aspirated engine. The power/torque curves depict a 280ps 2.4l engine with a 9000rpm redline.
I've included three LODs in total, with the highest sitting at 235,529 triangles. There are currently six colors, each including a different-colored wheel variant.
-Captiva Blue
-Championship White
-Granada Black
-New Milano Red
-New Vogue Silver
-Sunlight Yellow
This is my first time creating a car mod for a racing game, so please go easy on me. Feedback regarding quality and missing/requested features is welcome and encouraged!
