2018 Azerbaijan GP (RSS) - AI Race Package 1.0

Big fan of running races along side the RL races and it just so happens to be F1 season. Had to skip out on running a Baku race last year as the AI was a mess and wouldnt leave the start line and had no idea how to fix it. With the help of Esotics Left/Right line helper app along with digging through some old threads LilSki posts helped a bunch) I was able to fix and make fast AI for Baku.

First, I went in a set new left and right lines for the track - it looked like a 4 year old scribbled stuff down on track to set the original left/right lines - this was massive. Next, ran new fast lane and pit lane lines. Not sure if it matters but the lap I set with the fast lane was a 1.39.1. Finally, did a few changes to the Content Manager talent file for the race. Make changes but keep AI skill above 90 for RL times and use lower than normal aggression - I'm normally in the 70-80 range but down to the 60's for this track. Used Bottas car for the race so he is missing from the talent file as that's players car - change at your will and replace new user car with Bottas.

Setups are also attached. AI is using a low downforce setup. User setup is significantly higher downforce - explained in a second. AI KERS usage**. I've played with all settings but the issue I'm having here is they lose KERS before the massive front straight at the end of a lap. I've settled with a low DF setup for AI and the top speed KERS preset. To counter, I used a higher DF setup for the player and charging mode - as the player charging mode inherently saves KERS. I can use full output on the front straight, with the high DF tune, and just barely keep up/pass the AI at around 345 - 355 kph.

AI race times with this download are low 1:43's to 1:45-6's near the back. Video of a race is above. If you run the current Baku AI that comes with the mod and then run this back to back it is night and day. Enjoy and let me know of any issues in the comments.

**Going to hopefully do this to all F1 tracks moving forward through the season.

**Help here and I can push another update**
Can AI hint file help/change KERS usage? or is there another possible work-around to the AI KERS usage above?

Install:
Talent File - copy the BakuF1AI file into C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\AcTools Content Manager\Presets\Race Grids
AI line - copy the fast_lane.ai and pit_lane.ai into the ai folder for the baku track.
DRS, etc - copy drs_zones file into the data folder for the baku track. Other files are included in the data folder which you can copy over if you want. The two csv's are the side lines that are baked into the fast_lane file. You do not need them.
Setups - Copy the ai_default and Baku_Player files into ..\Documents\Assetto Corsa\setups\rss_formula_hybrid_2018\mania2017-baku

Perfect
is there any chance you could post the original track
Outstanding! One of the best, smoothed AI races I've had in AC. I hope you do more magic to other tracks!
Nice work !
any chance you can speed them up? i do low 1:41 in qualifying and the best they can do is mid 1:42. The only place i see that they are too slow is in the castle uphill turn.
good, but they come too fast in the turn 9 and they crash frequently.

Hmm didn't have issues there at all if I'm being honest. Try lowering aggression.
they drive it waaay faster than I can...well done
Nice job, man! I would love it if you could do that for all tracks. I do seem to miss the drs.zones .. is it supposed to be included?

Yeah alot of those F1 tracks need help in the AI department. DRS zones are in the data folder - drs_zones.ini
